I voted just now

Its time to call all of your apathetic friends now.
Beg
Bribe with beer
Blackmail ( you have some photos I'm sure, and they're own only one click away from being uploaded onto the internet )

Do whatever you have to.

I live in Grand Rapids Michigan, which is a pretty major city in the county of Kent. When my wife and I voted for McCain, ooops, I meant Ron Paul, there were only 112 votes cast out of 1300 registered voters at 5:30 p.m. Just thought I would let everyone know that there seems to be low turnout. I had broken my pelvis in three places three weeks ago but I still went to vote.

make fun buddy

To make a joke like that, you have to have a lot more than 27 posts! :D

Personally, I think we all need to step back and take a deep breath. So, the new guy wants to tell us something he thinks is important? And, he makes a joke? Well, cool. How can you get more posts without saying something? Some people on this forum rack up their posts from doing nothing but attacking others constantly (I don't mean you, so don't take this personally).

I appreciate whenever anyone has the gumption to get on the internet and look for like-minded folk to share with. But making the rules as we go along, and getting bent out of shape about a person trying to make a joke, will not get us any new people into the fold. This is not a way to join together and make changes for the good of all of us.

Just my opinion. Not worth much, but I still have a voice to say it.

Thanks for getting out there you broken Elvis! Now if you would have said HauckaPaul then I would have been laughing! LOL! Anyways thanks for your vote and I hope the low voter turnout really helps our chances to pull in a third place finish. Now some of you will be bashing me for that...... JEESH!

.

Yeah, but the joke was about having cast his vote for McCain. And we have a lot of trolls on the forums lately. Thus I said he needed to have more than 27 posts to make a joke like that. And I said it with a smile.. :D I think logic supports me. ;)

Hey I understand

I have read probably over a thousand posts in the past few weeks as you can imagine I have some time on my hands. However, I feel that most of the comments made sum up what I would say, but there are a lot of posts that are argumentative, conspiratorial, power grabbing, and trolling. I appreciate you going light on me and giving me the benefit of the doubt and taking the comment as a joke.

But in the last week I have thought about people actually coming on here as, let me say 'agents', and causing massive dissent in the forums. I thought, how would we know? Have they been planted for a while? Would this type of activity even happen?

You know, it makes me really confused. Remember back when that youtube video came out about the straw poll in San Fransisco getting shut down because there were too many Paul supporters? Then the next day there was that raid on the place printing the RP coins, and their gold and silver was seized? I told my wife that day that in the coming months it would only get more sinister and undermining. So I tried to speculate on how the dissinformation campaign would strike out against Ron Paul and his supporters. I really couldn't come up with any good ideas other than the obvious media bias and subsequent blackout.

Now in hindsight I see that hitting the forums, where all of the Ron Paul supporters get and share their information, experiences, and comraderie in a brilliant coming together on the internet. Can you imagine the damage that 30 paid 'agents' could do if they worked at it 8 hours a day. Five days a week?

Tell me, how has your enthusiasm level been in the past month? How many times have you been disappointed or upset at a post you have read? How confused do you get with all of this infighting and criticism of RP HQ?

I'm just saying...

I ordered all of the books on Ron Pauls reading list for Rudy Ghoulliani just yesterday and I will be reading these books and others well past into the future, past the primary, past the election. In these books are an uncorrupted message and void of dissenting agents...

It's hard to put a number on it, but there does seem to have been a change lately.

Also, on a recent poll, several people picked the option "n/a, because I am a troll". Some could have been joking---but it makes you wonder.
