I voted for the first time today. This is what I saw...

JFK won because he got the vote of a lot of women who voted for him on looks and charm alone.

You'd be surprised how many people vote for a candidate and don't really follow his positions all that much but follow the persona. When a good looking candidate with charm and a nice smile says that he wants to bring change and hope, a lot of people stop right there.

I woudn't be suprised, really. My mother didn't like Biden because he got hair implants, didn't like Obama because he's not experienced. She doesn't really know their positions, but I've been trying to communicate Dr. Paul's major themes to her, so she's getting on board with him.

Go Dr. No!

Well, I am old and I will be voting for Ron Paul. :)

All but a few of the people who showed up for the meeting we held last night to plan county activities were around my age or older than me. (55+)

Lets look at the entrance polls from Iowa:

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/epolls/index.html#IAREP

Democrats had 4 times the turnout of 17-29 year old voters than the Republicans.

Of the voters from that age group who voted Republican, Huckabee had TWICE as many votes as Ron Paul.

This campaign will not win the nomination with this type of turnout from the 18-29 year olds.

I'm being a realist...I honestly hope I'm wrong.

New Hampshire's governor is estimating that 55% of independents will vote Democratic, 45% for the GOP, so it's not a complete wipe-out.

But if I was McCain I would be worried.

I estimate it will be closer to 65% Dems-35% Reps.

My grandma is voting for Hillary because she is a woman and my grandma voted for Reagan because he reminded her of her brother. There is no way to figure them out, I love her, but her politics do really stink.

People who vote like this ought to be shot. It should be considered treason against the state.

Bush is doing a live press conference with only 5 hours left to vote! Looks like he's trying to scare people into voting for Giuliani.
