I voted for the first time today. This is what I saw...

While I would prefer the independents flock to Paul, I'd rather they flock to Obama than McCain. Not only do I think Paul would have an easier time taking Romney one-on-one, but McCain is far too dangerous for America to go any further. He would stand a good chance of winning the general election, especially with so many anti-war indies confused about his foreign policy.

If Romney beats Mr. 10,000 today, which is possible if enough independents don't show up for him, his campaign is effectively over. Let's hope that happens, no matter where Paul finishes.

maybe you don't understand what people tend to refer to as "old." I was talking about "senior citizens," that 65+ demographic.

That really doesn't change any of my responses. Every single one of us who has old relatives (65+) should be working on them not writing them off. Every eligable voter is a potential Ron Paul supporter.

How can you deny that older people are more likely to be stubborn? lol. ;)

Why does it seem like the kids who get up in arms over a candidate never seem to get out to VOTE for them? I saw this with Dean last time around.

Because the youth of this generation are lazier than any generation ever born to the earth. That's my experience at least.

They aren't lazy. They are disenfranchised. (Even to the point of violence.)

How would you feel if you grew up in an atmosphere of "zero tolerance" while the same "responsible adults" who were enforcing the "zero tolerance" were also the same ones who have destroyed this country? (And the world, for that matter..)

P.S., I'm 30, so I'm kind of in the middle on this, but for God's sake, try to understand what the youth in the country have watched their parents and grand parents DO.

(While at the same time driving their kids to school shootings by enforcing zero tolerance in one hand while voting for fascist war mongers with the other.)

There is a PRIMAL RAGE in the hearts of this countries youth that did not come from a vacuum. It was EARNED by the actions of their elders. And yes, if you have never felt that and realized how absolutely powerless it makes you feel you could mistake it for "laziness". But it's not the same, and it worries me that they are voting "Obama" because they think it will piss you off more. But I can't change that.

Hehe. I get carried away, you make a good point, I'll stop...

end the negativity people, seriously... you are killing yourselves.

Look I am a pragmatist too, but ANYTHING can happen before super tuesday.

I see no reason why I/we should not have irrationally high hopes and work ethic until then !

Stop negativity!

If every Paul supporter turns out today, RP will win NH, it's simple as that!!

Now do our best to make it happen.

Most fuckers out there are stupid as shit.

You sound really stupid yourself. Why don't you open a dictionary and learn a few new words?

I did some poll watching for a few hours.

1. Many independents/undeclared voters are going Democrat.
2. TONS of old people.....TONS.

God help us all.

The old people always turnout. The older people are what carry the elections IMO because they always show up to vote, its like a night out to dinner for them.

Ever been to the country? The majority of people that show up to vote in the country are the old people.

Seriously. Growing up on a beef cattle farm I got to witness the old folk get all dressed up just to go down to the polling booth on election night.

Yeah, and I'm on of them.

Violence? The things I would do...But can't say on the forums because I don't want to be banned.

we just seem to not analyze our mistakes for places to improve. We just blame everything but what we did wrong.

I hear you. I'm not sure we are doing anything wrong. The problem IMO up to now is that we are doing most everything right, there just aren't enough of us. We are fighting an unbelieveable uphill battle for the minds of our countrymen.

I remember what DRP said on Blitzer the other day... paraphrasing "Do you know what we are up against? This is not tinkering with the existing system... this is a complete overhaul..."

We are trying to get Americans to completely overhaul everything they believe on so many different topics. We have to have more people... that's why we have to keep talking. We will eventually find one and then they will find another and another.

It doesn't end with this campaign.

The only thing we can do wrong is to hate people that aren't getting it yet. Be patient with them and be kind... (even if you don't feel that way)

Dr. Paul doesn't ever show hate. His way of talking to others is our best example.

This has got to be one of the most pathetic threads I have read in a while. Are you people for friggin real? Now it's because of the senior citizens that ron paul will lose. You people are friggin loons and I hope for the sake of the RP campaign that this thread gets deleted. You people are even tuning me off RP.

1. Ron Paul is 72
2. Rupert Murdoch that has taken it upon himself to black list Paul is probably even older.
3.The main owner of the Fed Reserve who has the most to lose with RP as President is David Rockefeller is 92 FFS.
4. Mccain that has come from no where all of a sudden is way out front is 72.

Go back to your x box's and stop insulting people, no wonder the term loony for an RP) supporter is starting to stick in the MSM.

Hey, all I want is you kids to actually vote this time. You make a lot of noise, and hold a hell of a lot of power. But come election time, you never seem to use it. You all just play XBox or chase skirt or something.

+1. Dean had the same problem. When the MSM were making comparisons, our young people denied it. Today is their time to shake off the hangover and make a stand for this country to prove the MSM wrong.

He made an off the cuff comment/generalization... lets not crucify him.

"old" people who have an open mind are not issue

Young people and "old" people with closed minds suck.. I refuse to let either of them affect my viewpoint.

LOL sigged.
