I just had a chance to listen to the call. Ron said he still hasn't made up his mind, saying he sees the advantages but also sees the downsides. He specifically mentions his responsibilities of chairing the subcommittee. He said "I'm still at that place where I'm undecided;
I'm not convinced the support is there." Regarding the timing of an announcement, Ron actually says:
"But I'm gonna keep thinking about it, but I'm not on the verge of making a decision in the next week or so. I'm gonna have to think about it for a few more weeks."
I'm walking away from this convinced that we absolutely have to win CPAC in order to convince Ron to run.
EDIT: This call was for members of
Campaign for Liberty's Patriot Club.
