I think Ron Paul is about to announce NEXT WEEK!

Piecing together incomplete and fragmented pieces of information from multiple credible sources, combined with a very specific (and subtle but electric) vibe that I am feeling, I believe that Congressman Ron Paul might indeed announce his bid for the Presidency of the United States of America as early as next week.

I have nothing substantial to base this on, call it a combination of intuition, studying of history, and an educated guess. No one has told me anything specific, I have no insider information. I would not make a post of this nature unless I felt exceptionally strong about the likeliness of this happening.

My guess is that Ron is about to light this country up in a way that hasn't been done in a long time! If it turns out to be true, strap in and hold on tight, because the last 3 years were just a practice run; we are about to bring a R3voLution.

Ron Paul 2012 IS ON, cause Kenny says so!!!

Bad timing, imo, with the headlines what they are. A week from now will still see gossip on this Congresswoman's death. His announcement would only be a blip in the media, and even that to say "the shooter liked this guy" or somesuch.

naaaa they won't be able to with CPAC 2011 coming! The Revolution is ON!!! We were 1/3 of the colorado gop convention in 2008. wE WERE ABOUT THE ONLY EXCITEMENT AT THE GOP CONVENTION and all the gop establishment attacks did was let us grow more!!

I doubt he will announce this coming week especially after this shooting. I am thinking he will announce sometime in early February. Maybe late January. Who Knows at this point. I wish he would announce today!

Question about CPAC: would it be more in Ron's interest to announce at CPAC, with media present and winning the straw poll; or to announce before CPAC with an immediate money bomb and then he goes to CPAC with a full head of steam? How many 2008 candidates announced before CPAC?

How many 2008 candidates announced before CPAC?

All of them except Fred Thompson.

The shooting has nothing to do with anything. Ron Paul should announce as early as possible; as soon as he commits to the idea of running again in 2012. There is absolutely no logical reason to delay an announcement four weeks (CPAC) and punt on all that extra fundraising time.

Before I order my campaign buttons - you haven't been licking 9V batteries, have you?

Kenny says Ron Paul should listen to RonPaulFanInGA:) Ron Paul 2012

well the shooting would really only impact decision this week. if he announced today all the media wouldnt pick it up as much because they will be covering this shooting thing all week. he would probably be safe to do it starting next week after the storm has calmed but i would love to see him announce before the end of the month so we can hold a huge money bomb and win cpac straw poll back to back.

Do y'all honestly believe they would let him win the staw poll after he announces his run? I am not too sure.

Ron Paul!!!!!!! I'm starting to get excited. It's been a depressing 3 years. This whole time I never thought he would run again but now I'm starting to believe.

I'm excited.. my life sure is a bit diff now tho! lol! can we wait just 1 more year so i can make some money lol?? ahhh.. there is no money in this shibby shib shab!!

I almost feel as if Ron Paul shouldn't run, and someone else should take the mantle. Rand Paul in 2020ish for sure. But 2012? Not sure.

I just feel as if Ron Paul is an educator, and if he runs again he will get that Ralph Nader-type status.

But then again, if no one is running with his message, then he should go just to be in the debate and change the tone. Still, I want a campaign that can win and I cannot honestly see him do it.

Its game on! There is no better way to spread our message than through Dr. Ron Paul. His last campaign introduced me to Liberty and this campain can only expose more in an exponential way.

I just feel as if Ron Paul is an educator....

Still, I want a campaign that can win and I cannot honestly see him do it.

Agreed. No more of this mythical "education campaign" crap. It's time to win. This country doesn't need another four years of Obama/Romney/Huckabee/Palin.

Thing is: who else but Ron Paul is running in the GOP primary that can win? Paul's name ID and poll numbers are way better than any other potential Paul-type candidate. And his fundraising ability likely is too. The GOP primary is really the only shot at winning the White House with a liberty candidate; no one is beating Obama in the democratic primary and non-Republican/Democrat candidates in the general are non-starters unless they're extremely rich and can buy their way into viability.

I'm going to be watching very closely after (if) Paul announces to see if we're going to be serious this time or it's another "education" thing. The staff will be the first major hint: competent people or 2008 retreads? Will Paul keep going on Alex Jones' show every other week during this campaign? Will Paul take a debate question about illegal immigration and talk about the wars?

Going to be very depressing if Ron Paul punts on truly trying to win.

Idea: Why not just wait until he announces?

Then of course we all step up and hit it out of the park.

Good points.

January 11, 2007: RP announced his presidential exploratory committee
January 11, 2011: ???

Imo, the best time to announce will obviously be around the time of CPAC. The media will already be covering it like flies on stink and if no one else comes out announcing that they're running and Ron does he gets all the spot light and hopefully the whole nation will see that the man himself is throwing his hat in the ring. Sometime if not after he hopefully wins the straw poll should be the time he announces. That would be a double dose of media because they'd have to report that Ron Paul won CPAC and he just announced that he's running for president. Doing it this way imo will have the maximum affect. Now if there is insider information that other potential candidates are going to run then we might have to rethink this. However if Ron wins the CPAC straw poll he's king daddy during that news cycle and his announcement will most definitely be covered. Someone please pass this on to the staff because I'm confident this will be the best time to maximize the exposure.
