I Pledge To Never Vote For Ted Cruz, Who's With Me?

Will you support Ted Cruz after he missed the Audit the Fed vote today?

I voted yes but I meant no. oops... If Rand isn't the nominee, I will probably vote for whomever the constitution party nominates or just write his name in.

Me calling them out on Twitter

He was an extremely reluctant 2nd choice for me after Rand, and that was only if Rand dropped out. I was really having a hard time justifying it after Cruz's incredibly stupid "carpet-bombing" comments and his shameless pandering to the heretical fringe in the Christian Zionist movement, but this latest one was the proverbial last straw. I'd happily help campaign to get him out of the senate in favor of a liberty candidate, but there is little I can do way up in Pennsylvania, which is pretty much the opposite of Texas in every respect.

After the way Cruz glommed onto Rand's anti-fed stance during one debate, I can't believe the jerk didn't even show up to vote! Always had the feeling he was a phony. If Rand is not the nominee, I will go with a third party candidate again.

I accidentally clicked on "no". I don't like Cruz but if it were to wind up being him vs Hillary, I'd maybe vote for him. The reason: gun rights.

It's pathetic that he didn't show up to vote today but let's be honest. He doesn't really have a problem with the Fed. The Fed's actions helped fund his household (his wife's salary).

The only pledge I am willing to make at this point is that I will not vote for Hillary Clinton or any neoconservatives

Someone should make a non public poll, because if you come out and say that you might consider voting for a Republican candidate for President whose last name isn't Paul then you'll get attacked by people here and called all kinds of names, and most people aren't brave enough to do that.

There is that but even if it is hidden some will still vote no at this point in the race to simply make a statement due to Cruz's lead.

I'm not necessarily saying that I'll support Cruz if he's the nominee, but I'm just saying that all of us are individuals and can think for ourselves. There are times that I vote Republican and there are other times when I vote third party. But my decision isn't based on a certain group telling me that I'm not allowed to vote for the Republican candidate. I'll think for myself and can come to a decision on what I believe is the right thing to do.

Honestly the mentality that exists here that you can't ever vote for a non Paul Republican candidate in a general election is just as bad as the rank and file Republicans who tell me that I have to vote for whoever the Republican Party nominates. I don't agree with either group. I don't like the group think mentality and people within both groups trying to force me to vote a certain way.

Who is trying to force you to do anything?
It's just a message board, full of people with varying opinions and viewpoints.
To me, the poll was born out of frustration/disgust with certain candidates pretending to support something and then when it comes time for action, they are nowhere to be found. If you would still vote for Ted Cruz, that's your view, and I would not call you a name over it. I may disagree with you, but there is no bullying that I can see. Everyone speaks for theirselves, here. This is a forum for voicing viewpoints. You can only be pulled into group think mentality if you allow it to happen.

People try to get you to make pledges like this one, and then if you say that you'll even consider voting for the (R) candidate in the general election you get called a "statist, neocon," etc. At least that's been my experience, and that's what I'm referring to. I'm saying that people within the liberty movement shouldn't attack others for how they vote in a general election. Now, if people within the liberty movement are actually supporting someone like Cruz over Paul in the primary, then that's a different story. I really don't see how anyone who supports liberty could think that Cruz is a better candidate than Paul in the GOP primary. But it's not that much of a stretch to say that Cruz is more pro liberty than Clinton or Sanders, and there will be some liberty people who will vote for him for that reason. And in my opinion people shouldn't be attacked for having a voting strategy of voting for a certain candidate in order to try to minimize the damage to liberty in the United States.

I now Pledge to you, the internet, that I'll never support Ted Cruz in any way shape or form again. Who's with me?

...why in hell would anyone not a gullible fool 'vote for'/affirm any of these republicrat peckerheads?!?

...not a peep from any of these creeps about the private, secret squirrel banksters in control over the issuance/non-issuance of the most ubiquitous economic commodity of all...one half of every 'economic tran$action...the unit of account...the federal reserve note/token...
