What makes it even more ridiculous is that these low numbers in the 'polls' directly coincide with the white supremacist claims being re-introduced and magnified in the media.

I've thought in the past that what you all have said about the MSM was a bit overstated, but now I have my doubts in what I previously believed.

Remember, Ron Paul has won over half of the Republican straw polls. It's easy to answer a telephone, it takes effort to actually go out and vote. Guess who is more likely to make that effort?

For all we know, they could be tweaking the methodology in a way that hurts us (intentionally or not). It's sad that we rely so much on these things, yet nobody discusses all the wording, weighting, and pollster assumptions that go into the process, or even the all-important (given how tight the race is) margin of error.

If there was an updated version of 1984, polling companies would be among the most powerful forces in the world. A for-profit, political industry that determines "reality" to an extent the media could only dream about. How sad.

You realize the polls do fluctuate don't you? The 3% national poll was conducted by Fox News. I'm sure they're not biased. The 4% in NH was taken by ARG which has notoriously polled Ron Paul low. Paul is actually up from 2% to 4% in the NH ARG poll. The South Carolina 11% to 3% polls were done by different companies. You don't honestly think that Paul lost a lot of support in less a couple days do you? They're going to fluctuate as they take different samples from different people. Don't put too much stock into them, it's all about getting people out to vote.
