I must admit, I'm a bit discouraged.

I wouldn't watch those polls too closely. They are very misleading and very biased. Right now where are exactly where we want to be (just under the radar) We don't need to skyline, because too much attention too quickly is anti-climatic.

Congressman Paul will win. He is by far the best candidate, with the best platform for a Republican win in 08. Every other GOP candidate would lose to all 3 front-runner Democrats. The GOP understands this very well. The people will speak loud and clear this election.

We all KNEW it was going to get ugly... well... here we are folks. We have to stay strong and keep our eye on the goal. Don't lose focus. It's hard, I know... we're foot soldiers of freedom. Keep marching and keep up the momentum.

I need to photoshop an lolcat....

teh polls! teh mean nuthn!

Seriously, they run the story that Huck's ahead by Rudy in the polls, but he's only up by one point and the margin of error is FOUR. Translation: They have no freaking clue how this is gonna go!

Liberty kat votez Ron Paul FTW!

Linear Chaos...thanks for that.
Maybe we need a special "Good Media Reporting" section as well, for ailing spirits.

A "Good Media Reporting" section would be great.

First, it would give us a chance to thank people for good articles.

Second, it would allow us to pull the best articles to provide to friends and respond to issues.

Third, on nights like last night when I was really discouraged by these white supremecist accusations, it would give a good place to get the other side rather than wallowing in the filth people are throwing.

If the establishment wasn't getting nervous they would not be attacking this hard. And they want to break us.
As my Dad would tell me, "don't let the bastards get you down". :)

Polls are designed to discourage

I don't want to spam but please read my critique of the 2004 Democratic Presidential Primary Polls. http://www.publishersgoldmine.com/2007/12/19/if-i-get-a-chimpanzee-and-a-dartboard/

Polls are designed to discourage. And to encourage. Never let it be said that they are not a viable political weapon. However, they could not keep John Kerry from getting the nomination. Ultimately, they were not enough to carry Howard Dean.

I am considering writing a critique about the 92 Dem Primaries. Similar story but with Clinton instead of Kerry.

National polls, iowa, new hampshire, south carolina, our poll numbers seemed to have at least halved in the polls released today.

National: 6% --> 3%
NH: 8% --> 4%
SC: 11% --> 3% and a "not polled"
IA: 8% --> 4%

these are not the same polls, i don't think. you need to compare polls done by the same methodology. for example, check out rasmussen polls - they are all done in the same way and nothing of the kind you suggest is going on. the problem is not that the support is going down, but that it is not going up.

Polls schmolls.

There is no need to speculate this close to the primaries. We will see the validity of the Iowa polls in two weeks when the ACTUAL results come in. Then we can make some judgement on whether polls are useful or not. Ron Paul's campaign is like no other in history and will be impossible to predict via a poll.

So until then, who cares about them. Just spread the word.
