Loved the groan, but hated the mutual millions of unjustified, eneducated, echo groans because he said it. He must have some reason to really like Guiliani because there's not much to go on.
Let's say EVEN IF (some sarcasm intended) Guiliani was the stand-up 9/11 Mayor of America and everything he did was of the best effort someone could perceive... that would be pretty much all he has for a Presidential resume... some police crap here, some big brother stuff there.... If going by professional political resume alone, (D) Richardson would mop the floor with the other candidates. Why doesn't Hannity plug him? Hmmm... I have a few guesses
And, it's my opinion that Guiliani didn't really perform very well following 9/11 (or prior to). However, I will hand it to him that his face was at "ground zero" for a helluvalot of hours and immediately after the situation, whether that was encouragement to some, or a photo-opp for his portfolio, it doesn't matter much now. We couldn't even get that much stinkin' effort out of our supreme cheif in N/O following Katrina, which wasn't even a hostile attack.
I don't know if Hannity and the others are somehow tied to certain politicians but it bugs me. Hannity, in particular, seems like a very intelligent person with a wealth of information at his disposal. Could he actually not be able to come up with a credible, more founded, argument for completely disraveling the actual meaning of what RP was saying by "they attacked us because we've been screwing with them" argument?.
I get the whole American patriotic pride and blind devotion to the President and his chosen elite thing. I come from a long-time military family and still get upset at the mention of disrespecting the American flag as a symbol of America and what it was founded on and what its people are made of. However, I do not understand certain people, particularly educated ones, blindfolding themselves and binding their hands willingly to the words of a flaky career-minded politician speaking patriotic ring-tones as slip-of-the-hand illusions of patriotism with no evidence or backing to them whatsoever.
Kylan, thank you for getting the RP name mentioned to millions of neo-con (tolerating) listeners. Perhaps a good number of them will look up Ron Paul now and accidentally be exposed to some actual founded truth. Hmmm....
