I just voted

Yeah, looks like they're taking their time with the counting. It's making me nervous. I can't even begin to imagine how Glen must feel... :(

From the NC Election page, I guess this is early voting?

John May (DEM) 44.18% 4,209
Glen Bradley (REP) 55.82% 5,317

Franklin is where most of the votes are. A big lead there would be hard to overcome in the others.

FRANKLIN

14 of 18 Precincts Reporting
John May (DEM) 43.42% 3,925
Glen Bradley (REP) 56.58% 5,115

Glen swept Youngsville and the southern precincts in Franklin county... these are the exurban fringes of Raleigh. May did better in the older, northen end of Franklin county.

If Glen does well enough in the remaining precincts of Franklin to offset probable losses in Roanoke Rapids (the far northern end of his district) then he could get this.

That is GREAT news! Roanoke Rapids in Halifax is heavily Dem. He's won several precincts there!

The portion of Nash that is in his district is rural, I don't think that will trip the results one way or the other.

So far it looks like the NC Democratic party spent at least $10 a vote to defeat Glen, and he may pull this off anyway.

Had they spent that $120K elsewhere in the state, it might have tipped more races.

this is amazing, and a real nail-biter. Still waiting on a Dem stronghold in Franklin to report, and several battlegrounds. Reports of "irregularities" in the strongest GOP precinct in Halifax. Apparently a wife voted in the morning w my name on the ballot and a husband voted in the afternoon and my name was not on the ballot. It looks like I am far enough ahead it won't matter though. Still waiting on East Franklinton....

16 of 18 precincts in for Franklin.

John May (DEM) 7,745

And those remaining two are in the southern end of the county where Glen has done well

Leading in Halifax, 3 precincts left to report
