I just filed to become a state delegate in Indiana; it was so easy. This is the last week!

You just need to contact the campaign and tell them your situation. I am not sure how Indiana's process works. You might be useful to the campaign still. You certainly can't be nominated, but your vote might still be needed.

I just filed in Indiana today as well. I moved to a new address in January and had to fill out another voter registration form today for my new address even though it is just down the street from my old address. Also, since I didn't live/vote in Indiana last election cycle I have to speak to the Republican Party Chairman for his signature so that it cannot be contested. I'll get that taken care of tomorrow.

Go in well dressed and do it in person. If possible record it. (indiana is a one party state)

Either let them contest it, or go in and see the chairman IN PERSON. Don't let them get off easy by being hostile on the phone!

If you MUST call, first ask to work the polls in May. Ask how else you can volunteer. THEN ask for the form. Tell them you are still undecided as to who you support.

I wish I could get answers....I'm a delegate wanna be, but I can't figure out what district I'm in, I thought it was 8.
If someone can help, I'd appreciate it. I'm a old man, but a newbie at this stuff.

Filed this morning at the county building. Was the fourth of four to file, so if no one else files by tomorrow noon from my district we all go to Indianapolis!

Called the Party Chairman today who was quite hostile. Asked me if I was a Ron Paul supporter to which I wanted to say no, but my honesty got the better of me. He asked why I was wanting to be a delegate, why I hadn't asked prior to this how I could help the party, etc. The second I said that I was a Ron Paul supporter he told me he would not sign for me until I had voted in a Primary in Indiana. Overall, not a very nice guy. Sorry, guys/gals.

The deadline of tomorrow is for Indiana. I recommend you call your county GOP headquarters and tell them you're interested in going to the state GOP convention, and ask them what you need to do to be a delegate.

In California, the campaign will hand pick its delegates. There's nothing you need to do.

Make sure you register as a Republican in CA.

No one knows exactly how the campaign will choose their delegates. You being 19 may or may not have any influence on their decision. It's best to just let the campaign do its thing without annoying them. If they need volunteers, they will ask.
