I don't know about you guys but I'm still busting @ss to win a brokered convention

What's the situation in your state? Please provide a report.

In Virginia, the RP grassroots is the main organization working the conventions to win delegates for a candidate. We are working separate from the campaign, who also has an effort for organizing for delegates.

There is no other campaign working for delegates for any other candidate. We still have an uphill battle, because the people who normally participate in these conventions are insiders who support the other candidates. But make no mistake -- No other campaign is putting resources towards winning delegates at conventions.

Look at the videos out of the other states as well -- the opposition is not with any other candidates campaign -- they are just people who have been in positions of power for a while - and happen to support a different candidate.......

Keep up the good work in VA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

+rep and more if I could

What is the star rating?

Comes from Dr. Seuss and the Sneetches.

I remember the delegate talk from 2008 and it never went anywhere but this time is much different.

Even 1/3 of the delegates at Tampa would mean Ron Paul has a significant influence over what goes on, and this seems very doable.

I am in touch with someone in my district to work on this but as ya'll might have heard Ron Paul is a tough sell in Mississippi :(

Can anyone tell me the odds of a brokered convention right now?

Just curious how likely it is to go down. Thanks!

Pretty low. If Romney wins 48% of the remaining delegates he'll have enough to win the nomination on the first ballot.

Just got back from a mini southern California grassroots conference...we got some huge plans
Be sure to clue us in if/when we can play a role in what you've got cooking  (and you know where to find me for a less public chat too)

Good and getting better, hope for a Romney loss in Illinois and things will be going quite solidly.

Still working hard, just not relying on the campaign nearly as much anymore. There's not much more they can do since the media is back into 100% blackout mode (well, unless they have something negative to say) and that leads to stuff like the PR results. Just keep going through your convention processes and imagine the fun when Tampa is full of Paulites.

ps ~ forum is broken, says I can't plus rep the OP more than once ;)
I lobbied for a rep increase, but the system is rigged against us. We'll never get the rep raise we deserve!!!11! :( ETA: We need a union to negotiate (strongarm) with management for a rep raise.
