Somebody just asked what it was...

And that's HERE

And we REALLY need you all to promote it on myspace, facebook, meetup

Yeah, the word really needs to get out ASAP.

I recommend registering a new domain for the pledge site so that we can make another attempt at the Digg front page, it has a lot of diggs but it never made the front page. Also youtube videos, myspace, and facebook need to be hit HARD.

Didn't know about it till the other day....very little advertising in comparison to the tea party :(

I've sent it out to my friends, but doesn't seem to be the drive behind it like there were the previous ones.

No myspace page for it (if there is it is not easy to find), no threads full of advertising materials (unless I missed this too, but I had a collection of flyers and signature blocks from threads here fairly shortly after tea party was announced).

I would help with this, but I have NO artistic skills whatsoever.

The myspace is listed on the front page of the site. :)

Go to the subforum in this board. One of my threads there has 6 banners I made in photoshop. There are also banners made by trevor at the site - freeatlast2008.com

Everybody's in the prize fight thread. Apparently we'll let the money bombs die, the blimp crash, and put it all on a tattoo on some boxer's back. No wonder the forum is dying.

I agree, it definitely needs further promotion. It's not the 21st yet though and people are becoming more and more aware of it. There have been a lot of attempts to pick a day for the next moneybomb and it took a while to get consensus on the right day to go. That consensus has been agreed upon now, there's no doubt on that.

The 21st will be big, don't underestimate the fact that a large portion of Ron Paul supporters weren't even around (didn't exist yet) for the teaparty2007 moneybomb, the movement is growing.

Ok, I don't know for sure what is on the 21st, and nobody has replied with an answer. I pretty much ignore fundraisers now because I am maxed out so...what is on the 21st?

I have no idea what this is either. If its a fundraiser tho Im just using my money locally.

The thing that made Nov5th and Dec16th stand out so much were the awesome videos. They were so well done and distributed everywhere. I've only seen one video for the 21st so far (with the white background). I also think this forum should add that video to the top of the front page like the previous ones were added.

My letter to promote the MLK Money Bomb

Feel free to modify/use this if you think it will help. Don't even need to keep my name on it.

Greetings All,

Many of you are probably aware that the majority of the money that Ron Paul has raised has come in the form of "money bombs" or grassroots organized, 1-day internet fundraising events. I've been able to donate to the Teaparty money bomb and the November 5th money bomb as well as at other times.

Probably the last time that we will have a chance to do this will be January 21st, on Martin Luther King Day. No this isn't the last chance to donate money, but it may very well be the last chance to have a huge multimillion dollar fundraising day.

As you may also be aware the latest smear campaign by the mainstream media has been to try and portray Ron Paul as a racist based upon some politically charged (and possibly bigoted) articles published in a newsletter he had let be published under his name during the late 1980's and early 1990's. These articles have been outed for many years, Ron Paul long ago put the issue to rest by explaining that not only did he not write the articles, but he was not involved in the publication of the newsletters themselves. Even still, he has publicaly apologized and said he had a moral responsibility for these articles since they were published under his name. Nevertheless the MSM has brought them up no less than three different times during this campaign, the latest being last week.

Ron Paul went on CNN last Wednesday and once more explained the facts behind these news letters and again apologized and accepted that he had a moral responsibility for them since they were published under his name. During this interview he pointed out the fact that his campaign has a large amount of support from the African-American community, that during his entire political career he has supported the rights and freedoms of all individuals, and that for more than 30 years he has considered Civil Rights activists like Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks to be personal hero's of his due to their non-violent protest against unjust government laws. He also mentioned specifically that there would be another super fundraising day on Martin Luther King Day.

This January the donations to the official campaign have slowed dramatically. There are many reasons for this and it's not worth discussing them in detail here. But please, if you have any ability at all to do so, please consider donating to his campaign on January 21st. Of course any donation at any time is good, but a successful money bomb on Martin Luther King day will put the final nail in the coffin for the accusations of racism that have plagued Ron Paul's campaign. Both he, his campaign, and his supporters have a chance to prove, by our money, that we believe in civil liberties for all Americans, that this movement is the antithesis of a racist movement, and that freedom truly brings all of us together.

If you are interested there is a website promoting this money bomb. It is here

http://www.freeat...

Personally I don't pledge to donate I just do it, so I haven't signed up, but of course anyone is free to do so. But even if you don't pledge please take January 21st as an opportunity to show the Republican Party, the media, and the American People that Ron Paul can continue to raise the money and bring in the supporters he needs to win in the General Election. Please forward this message to other meetup groups and anyone who you think will be willing to contribute. Thank you.
