Your explanation makes a lot of sense. Has anybody ever been to Independence Hall? It is really not that big. And if we have 10K + people that could be a potential problem. But still let's wait and see what the campaign says...

We can't. HQ took over the rally - Bob relinquished the Independence Mall permit, HQ now holds it.

And that's just as bad as cancelling, really. How are the 50,000 people with flyers going to find out it's been moved? How are they going to get to the new location once they find out at the day of? Are we going to be bussing them? If it's held in Valley Forge, there isn't an easy way to do it. And UPenn sucks as a location. The media coverage won't be the same.

Half the purpose of holding it at Independence Mall was the strong symbolism, UPenn sure as hell doesn't have that. The location is half the rally.

If they want to have a rally at another location such as Valley Forge, that is fine. Just as long as it is after the rally at the Mall. Then the meetup group can have their own rally since they are being so selfish (or so it seems).

no it seems they invited THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of people and PAID FOR and handed out THOUSANDS of fliers and PLANNED around it then it was suddenly changed
