I am POed. Jeremiah Black TV Ads in iowa dying for lack of funding?

This is an old chip-in that Skiingff (Brandon), should have removed from the website.

Let me give you some background.
There are ads currently being run in central Iowa. In fact all 6 ads that you see on the homepage. $50K in total was raised to run those ads. First 35k for the first 3 ads and then when Jeremiah Black added his 3 ads, another chip-in was started for 15K to raise enough money to add them into the mix for central Iowa.

Nothing has been run in eastern Iowa and there has been a lot of demand to do so. 15K is the bare minimum to get anything started there. If we can raise more than that, which doesn't seem too likely at this point, we can run more of the ads.

The cutoff date for getting these scheduled is tomorrow. The Iowa Caucus is in 14 days.

The current Chip-ins are on the home page of www.OperationNH.com. We are trying to fund running grassroots TV ads in all 5 early primary states. The first, and most crucial, is Iowa. The drop dead date to finalize scheduling to get these aired is TOMORROW. So, Iowa must be funded tonight.

The Iowa chip-in is currently at $12,101. The bare minimum that is needed is $15,000.

Please help, if you can. Doing well in Iowa is so very important.

Silly question, but I have to ask... What are the election laws concerning PAC's running ad? I thought that they could only run issue ads?

They can't coordinate with PACs... Campaign finance laws and all...

Did somebody check to make sure that PACs can run campaign ads... I was under the impression it was just issue ads that were allowed ??? (I could be wrong on this though)

Apparently they've lost ability to play the 60 second ad but are pushing ahead to get some of the others on in E. Iowa. Jblack himself makes some comments on the thread.

Hey everyone,

Great job! It looks like between the Google account and chipin money you just made it to 15k!!!!

I will call the buyer tomorrow and work with Brandon to make the best plan, Brandon then can post up the final buy when it comes in so you can tell our friends there to let others know.

Make sure to shift people to NH, MI, SC and NV as soon as possible.

Remember NH is very expensive! Lets get 15k there very quickly

We need to fund these as early as possible given inventories are going to be much tougher to grab now.
