Or not so hypothetical as this is what the prediction markets and pundits are saying.

What would happen in a Rubio vs Hillary match-up? Would people fall in line and vote for their team? What if there's a viable third party candidate?

At the end of the day the masses will always fall in line with their team. The primaries just give them the illusion that they fought the good fight but they'll vote for the Red Sox or Yankees GOP or Dem party when the time comes.

It would have been an interesting 2016 to see Trump and Sanders running independent. One is siphoning votes from the right and the other from the left. Would have made for a really interesting race IMO.

At this point Rubio vs. Clinton seems more likely than Bush vs. Clinton, and I think I can see a greater likelihood in Rubio winning and subjecting us to 4-8 more years of Neo-con insanity in the foreign policy front, which will lead to more domestic terrorist attacks in America and greater encroachment of our civil liberties at home. Both of them would be equally bad as president in my opinion.

I'm hoping that as time goes on that Rand will start calling out Rubio more while still going after the others. Bush is all but toast at this point and I see little point in kicking a dead horse unless he has a miraculous resurrection.

The problem with Rubio in the general is he will be seen as an amateur. He just seems like a kid who is trying really hard to look the part

The RNC will probably follow their pattern of supporting someone who has little chance of winning.

I'd vote for Rubio in your hypothetical. But I will vote for any GOP candidate in the general except Trump.

Rubio isn't going to win it. IMO he is going to be the next flavor of the month. I think he goes up then down again in November.

I hope so. Who do you think has a better chance?

Agreed, Hillary is an atrocious candidate but if she's matched up with Rubio this may just make her win.

I've always though Jeb and Hillary will win the primaries and the Clintons will end up back in the white house. Trump and Carson have no experience and won't last. I think Rand will eventually rise to 2nd or 3rd as this all shakes out and will be in good shape for 2020.

Hillary would mop the floor with him.

Would people fall in line and vote for their team?

For the most part. I think Hillary will take the indys.

What if there's a viable third party candidate?

Like who? Deez Nutz? Or that cat that's running?

You mean this cat?

The only way to guarantee I vote in this election at all is for a cat to show up on the ballot for president. I would definitely vote for the cat. I would probably vote for Rand. I wouldn't bother going for anyone else.

I don't know any of Limberbutts positions, but he's obviously the most qualified candidate. Where can I send my money?
