Huffinton Post: Hey, Ron Paul Republicans!?! It's Time For A GOP Palace Coup

Check out this comment:

Lee, SOME of Paul's ideas were valid, but the guy is a flat out kook.

He is for ignoring the crisis in Darfur.

"Paul was the only "no" vote on H.Res. 180, the Darfur Accountability and Divestment Act of 2007 (passed House 418-1-13, awaiting action in the Senate), which would "require the identification of companies that conduct business operations in Sudan [and] prohibit United States Government contracts with such companies."

"Paul advocates withdrawing U.S. participation and funding from organizations he believes override American sovereignty, such as the United Nations, the International Criminal Court, the Law of the Sea Treaty, the WTO, NATO, and the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America."

He wants to do away with the Federal Reserve, the income tax and the IRS.

"Paul opposes virtually all federal interference with the market process." Now isn't that what got us to this crisis to begin with? How is he different from Ayn Rand?

He is opposed to net neutrality.

Now, normally I would dismiss this type of post, but I found that last sentence to be too funny to pass up. The fact that this person doesn't even know what "net neutrality" means pretty much invalidates the rest and proves they haven't done any digging beyond the "the gov would never name a bill the opposite of what it does" mentality.

Also, who gave this thread a one-star? That's bullshit. This is a damned good article. Just because it's from a "librul" blog doesn't invalidate the content. This Lee guy knows what's up.

Can we ban Tones? I hate it. It's obviously just another a neocon, and it pisses me off beyond any point that I could actually identify. God damn.

Seeds of liberty are implanted in his head every day.

It may take years for those seeds to grow, but eventually he'll realize his mistake.

And in regards to Sarah Palin....

lol... seriously, she doesn't have an eigth of the intellect Paul has.

She's a one hit wonder of the political world.

Did she lose the election for McCain? HELL NO, his campaign was doomed from the start.

Did he even try to win? His campaign was a joke.

Your pro-freedom libertarian mindset inspires me. I'm glad to have you in our movement.

I read the HuffPo article, as well as several of the user comments; it's nice to see some pro-Ron Paul, pro-liberty posters commenting on the article, and rebutting others' comments.

I certainly don't think we should ban tones, but the issue has nothing to do with freedom. This is a privately owned website.

The reason I don't think we should ban tones is that discussion and debate is healthy. What's the point of only talking with people you agree with all the time?

Also, isn't tones a girl?

Think for yourself, stop with the popularity contest...sarah palin was this forum's pick for Ron Paul's vp. There must have been a reason for that somewhere back down the line...

Then we were wrong.

Show me something that indicates that Sarah Palin "gets it". I have heard/seen nothing that indicates she understands the real problems facing this country.

Where is she on the following?

1. Corrupt & unconstitutional monetary policy.

2. Immoral and unconstitutional foreign policy.

3. Loss of civil liberties.

Ron Paul does look like the undertaker, doesn't he?

who-is-ron-paul-president-2008.jpg

no!:D

he reminds me of an old wise papaw that is great to be around and tells good life stories.

Why wont he adopt me already!?!

Think for yourself, stop with the popularity contest...sarah palin was this forum's pick for Ron Paul's vp. There must have been a reason for that somewhere back down the line...what you didn't like is that she was selected by mccain...but look...people loved her. I say she was not corruptable...that's why the gop tanked her . Can you read between the lines at all? If sarah palin was able to be manipulated....believe me, with her popularity...she would be IN like flynn. tones

shut up liberal troll

Sorry..I still like Sarah Palin and i believe she , like Ron Paul, was tanked by her own party..just listen to newt gingrich minimize her popularity...said she definately was not a party leader. Evidently, she, like Ron Paul, was not corruptable. tones

She is a neocon that expressed support for the Bailouts which proves she is pro-corporate welfare. She supports illegal wars of aggression (Iraq). She supports the Bush Doctrine (now that she knows what it is ).

These are key issues that Ron Paul is totally against. Yet you support her and claim to be a Ron Paul Republican?

Why do you keep pushing this neocon twit on our board? Wouldn't you be better suited starting your own Sarah Palin fan club board? Because that's what I think you should do.

In other words....Get The Fuck Out!

From Article:
The appeal of Ron Paul was his ideas, not his lovable ole' funeral director looks. So it's time for someone to grab those ideas, grab the organizational skill of herding a bunch of individualists and grab control of the damn Republican party right now... before I have to listen to Mike Huckabee's jokes, Mitt Romney's dumb advice or Sarah Palin's effin' voice for the next four years.

and that is exactly why they WILL lose again in 2010. They are using the same playbook with different faces. Nothing has changed with the GOP and until those listed above are gone nothing will. Obama and the DEMS are going run with a house and senate which will expand thier base as the flock of sheep grows feeding on everything they throw at them. The GOP is out of ideas without imagination and without a base.

I wouldn't mind having Palin as my governor, but I think she still has a long way to prove herself to being Presidential material.

It has everything to do with freedom. Just because Paul as President wouldn't regulate private enterprises, doesn't mean individuals such as ourselves shouldn't do everything we can do promote the freedom mindset wherever we are. Leaving everything up to the states and having no government regulation simply leaves the responsibility to us to promote positive ideals, such as what we are discussing, not letting non-governmental tyranny roam unfettered.

In other words, post like this are retarded and give us all a bad name for people who claim to defend free speech.

As for your comment about tones being a girl, my comment never indicated she was a male, if that's what you are implying.

Hey, she may be a devout idiot still clinging to the far-fetched assumption that her little ignorant hero is a troll for liberty burrowing from within the G.O.P. But she's our misguided, hopeful beyond reason nincompoop beating that weeks-dead horse. Lock stock and barrel--we've pwned her often enough to claim clear title. So, live with it.

Why not just ban all conservatives & liberals, the right & left & everyone who is not a Di-hard libertairian. After you do this, just think how great it will be for everyone here to agree on everything. Keep running people off & take a guess where they will go.

Go ahead and ban all the republicans...you'll be left with about 10 people on the forum (and no one will be over 15 years old) ...it's pretty scant now. What do you want? A libertarian forum? I'm quite sure you can make one of those. Ton(ban all the christians while you're at it)
