Huckabee now wants to abolish Income tax & IRS, replace w/Sales Tax

He wants to abolish the IRS and replace it with a national sales tax.

Ron Paul wants to abolish the IRS and replace it with nothing.

There's a huge difference.

He's wanted this from the beginning.

Personally, I'd rather keep all of my money; and besides, Huckabee's record in Arkansas makes me pretty sure that anything he proposes in taxes will just end up costing me more.

The government has no right to tax the people from a federal level; don't be mislead into thinking that there needs to be SOME tax there.

it's just lame that they report huckabee wanting to replace the IRS while no one reports Ron Paul being the only candidate who wants to end the income tax permanently...

Huckabee has always wanted this. The dishonest part is that he sometimes says he wants to get rid of the IRS, but doesn't go on to say he wants to replace it with some other taxing bureau on business that collects a 23 percent sales tax on top of the sales tax we already pay.

The so-called Fair Tax is constitutional, unlike the income tax, but it's a question of when you want to give up your freedom, when you make money or when you spend it. I'd say like the poster above, I'd like to keep everything I earn and pay for what I get.

Frickin' HUCKAWANNABEE....... you're a frickin joke.....go get in your bath tub!

As do I.

The national sales tax that Huck wants to implement produces the same amount of revenue, which is to say, the American people will still pay the SAME amount of taxes. But while the income tax is progressive, the flat tax isn't, which would likely really hurt the poor and middle class families.

Why doesn't Huckabee rather cut taxes on the income tax or have a less revenue producing sales tax? Because he doesn't want to cut spending since he would be a HUGE spender. He wants to subsidize basically everything in not only in America, but also in the middle east. He wants us to pay for the rebuilding, education, health, etc. of the Iraqi people and who knows else where in the world, as stated in his CFR article. Changing the tax system and even cutting taxes is all rather insignificant because you HAVE TO CUT SPENDING. If you don't cut spending, we'll pay for it by inflation through the Federal Reserve, or let our grandchildren pay for it with interest when we borrow billions per day from other countries.

If Huck becomes our president, say bye bye to the U.S. dollar and economy.

They're all talking about increasing the size of the military, except for Dr. Paul. There is going to be a tax increase, regardless if it is one of the other R's or a D. Read my lips, no new taxes, yeah ok. Paul is the only one who wants to draw down the military and cut spending.
