Wow, Mark. Looks like you need to take some time off.
Wow, Mark. Looks like you need to take some time off.
There were several people, myself included that had started threads talking about RP supporters backing Huckabee, for the simple fact of a brokered convention. The mods kept moving them to "Hot Topics" where nobody would view them...if just half of the RP supporters in VA would have voted for Huckabee, Huckabee would be winning right now which is what we need.
we have to keep it brokered, we dont want McCain to win another caucus or primary ideally but does it matter because Huck might support McCain anyway, no one knows.
What about what I just wrote? Why hasn't the thread been cleaned up where I've been attacked constantly.
It's in the Christian outreach forum for goodness sakes. And no one's done a thing about it after I've reported it three times already.
Where's the moderation?
THIS REALLLLLLLLLLY PISSED ME OFF. You begin to question what exactly are these guys trying to accomplish. If the strategy was a brokered convention, than of course we want to do anything possible to make that happen, including voting for huckaberry. I kept on saying it was a good idea, and started a thread, and then it was moved, and or flamed. You gotta wonder why, and who is flaming the idea, and where exactly their allegiance lies. I understand the absolutist ideology, but come on, we need to be politically savvy too. I started a thread for people to give me some good analysis, and I just got replies like NO, and on starred the idea. Willing to bet there are plenty of moles here with many replies in the grassroots, and they just attack any good ideas to demoralize them as quick as possible.
The campaign made it 100% clear that they don't want this strategy. Anyone still pushing the idea after the campaign's statement came out is no different from a Huck's Army plant as far as I'm concerned.
But there's no point in having a brokered convention unless we get enough delegates at said convention to make a difference.
There was a member in here that said he was encouraging VAers to vote Huck
Honestly, if we all voted Huck from here on out I doubt it'll come back to bite us in the ass (Huck will never get 1191 delegates). In VA, DC and MD it wouldn't have helped anyway. Keep in mind though, our strategy is to get a brokered convention, and that won't happen if McCain keeps taking 100% of the delegates in every caucus/primary.
ot possibly gather enough delegates on his own to force a brokered convention. Logic would dictate that we assist Huckabee in winner take all situations while going for broke in shared delegate scenarios. These tactics will best meet our needs. By the way I am a dedicated but thinking RP supporter. I am also a delegate to my county convention here in Washington State.
