If Ron Paul beats Giuliani, which he will, he needs to make statements to the press that he defeated Giuliani.

This is a setup.

If anyone responds that Giuliani didn't try to win Michigan Ron Paul can pretty much finish Giuliani off right there with the following statement:

"It has been a remarkable day. Today, against all odds, I defeated the national front runner. He made the excuse that he did not want to compete in Michigan.

But it is my strong belief that the President of the United States must represent all US citizens, not just the ones who help further the political ambitions of one man. When I am elected president I will stand up for the civil liberties and broadest possible range of freedoms for all Americans. And I will never make excuses for failing to do so.

I will protect our borders, fix our broken economy, and bring peace to our nation."

Bragging about beating somebody that didn't even worry with the state doesn't make sense. Now when RP beats Rudy down in FL, that will be something to tout.

That would have been nice to say after NH, since Rudy spent more time in the state than any one other than Romney.

"not just the ones who help further the political ambitions of one man."

How about "not just the ones that are represented by the most delegates"

Remember Paul is VERY reluctant to attack others.

Also I think he should mention the states so far depending on turn out. Do some quick math but not counting Michigan Paul has more TOTAL votes than Rudy or Fred. If this can still be said it would have a much greater impact.

you need to pull into the top 3 before you have anything to brag about...

I don't see it as bragging. I see it as putting things in perspective.

Face it. He's going to give a speech. It may as well focus on something positive and put Giuliani's flagrant disregard for certain states in the spotlight.

Here's an idea- Those of you who don't like my speech please post one you think is better. That way we will at least be generating positive ideas for the campaign. They check out what we are doing. Maybe together we can create something great.

In the four contests thus far - Iowa, Wyoming, NH, and Michigan - Ron Paul has received an average of 8% (?) of the popular vote. This percentage is well in excess of (or double? triple?) what has been reported in national polls.

It won't make a difference what Paul says in his post-election rally, because it won't be televised as usual.
