do the rough math. rough average age of Ron Paul support 18-30 is 24y.o. Biggest voting block average age 55-57: so about 31 years.

I got a feeling we are the majority but they aren't going to let Paul win. The elite are evil and are not just going to let their grip on power crumble without bloodshed.

Maybe not... The last 5 years have been pretty promising. There's no sign of plateauing just yet - our ranks are growing exponentially. If sh!t continues to get worse, I'd only expect those numbers to grow faster.

So I'm optimistic at this point...

The Republican party has learned nothing in 4 years and seem even more entrenched as the party of big government. So I am not so sure this taking over the Republican party bit was such a great idea rather than building a 3rd party like the Libertarian or Constitution party.

Unless Ron wins there is going to be allot of disillusioned people that will be disgruntled with the Republican party that may not come out to vote for liberty candidates. If this was done with a 3rd party perhaps that would not happen.

I think we're one crisis away from everybody seeing that RP is right. We really are at a tipping point, so that could come at any time, even within this election cycle.

Most everybody is already saying that they like RP on the economy....it's just the foreign policy issue that keeps them away. We are seeing RP's foreign policy being vindicated by establishment leaders, so there's every reason for optimism. Panetta, for instance, just said that Iran is not pursuing a nuclear bomb, but rather nuclear 'capability'.

I really think that if the campaign could just make the average voter aware of this that many would become supporters.

I would have to agree. We should have done "different" exit polling in FL. Instead of asking folks how they voted, just ask them about their health and heredity so we can plan accordingly...

^This. Been saying that since the 2008 campaign and that if we do not do something about it then we would lose in 2008/2012 also. My idea was to lobby investors to by an existing national outlet, launch a 4th news channel and/or wire service.

I think a liberty leaning tv news network is a good idea, a necessity. Why not launch a national radio station or multiple local ones sharing the same content. As someone who prefers talk radio and commutes a lot each week, I can tell you the market is out there.

This is a long term battle. We could take the White House sooner, with a strong leader, which Rand Paul has the potential to be. We will win if we are committed. This is not really a top-down movement, the presidential runs are nice ways to spread the message until we succeed.
