So, now, let's recap.

The GOP has:

A majority of state governments, i.e. state houses and senates.

A majority of state governors.

A majority in the House.

A majority in the Senate.

A majority of Supreme Court justices.

And the presidency.

And a clear mandate from the people to end the wars, secure the border, deport the invaders, reduce the size and scope of government across the board and make the money sound again, just for starters.

I am now placing bets on how quickly they fuck all that up.

Republicans win House, delivering Trump a trifecta

Republicans are projected to keep control of the House of Representatives, handing the party total control of Washington with former President Trump back in the White House in January.

Decision Desk HQ projected the GOP would hold the House by winning its 218th seat on Monday, the number needed for a majority in the lower chamber.

Yes, there are 0 excuses this time.

So, please -- if this all goes to shit and we still get nothing done, can we please all agree to stop voting at the federal level

They're already F'ing it up. McConnell's determined to leave a urine-soaked diaper in the Senate to stink up the place. The leftist media is already framing their arguments around how noble these Thune/Cornyn GOP senators are for not allowing Trump to take absolute power basically ignoring the will of their constituents who demand neocons be excluded from leadership positions.

The Uniparty is still there. They don't want to hold a public vote because they want to shield themselves from being primaried.

I've been thinking here lately that the 17th amendment was a big mistake (I mean even more so than usual).

Some small budget cuts.

A few deportations.

That's about it.

They [and us] were and are being used as pawns to further the Bankers/Technocrats agenda, which will be in full swing under this new administration.

It is all part of the 4th Industrial Revolution as the WEF/U.N. achieves their goal of running the world via crypto currency, biometrics and under full surveillance. Peter Thiel, Robert Lighthizer, BlackRock, Musk, et al, are players in that agenda.

That is why the "border crisis" was created, the overblown social-media LGBTQ hysteria and other which has exploded only very recently - in order to get "buy-in" from the right.

It's another "they hate us for our freedoms we need the Patriot Act and TSA to protect us".

Yeah, this better not go to shit. They have a once in an Empire opportunity here to dramatically change the shape of human being's relationship to government. This group could go down in history as legends similar to the Founding Fathers, themselves. The second wave story writes itself with the coalition of diverse viewpoints coming together, united against the corruptive force of government. Hell, there's even a miracle survival of an assassination attempt. Trump, Vance, Musk, RFK, Gabbard, the new Senate Leader, the new Speaker of the House, Massie, the Pauls, even Rogan, Tucker, and Dave Smith. Names that will go down in history.

The nation adopted ideals based in freedom and market forces and became extremely wealthy, but over time the corruptive forces of government nearly killed it. Then, a group of American Heros step in, at great risk to themselves, to rein in that destructive force. It's difficult at first, and many doubted it could ever happen, but in time the nation emerges triumphant. The Donald Trump story becomes the story of America, itself.

Or, those idiots can follow their selfish incentives and blow it all.

Where are you placing your bets??

I'll just follow up with my own post to say this:

The players have been identified. They are Billionaire Bankers and Billionaire Technocrats which are part of this new administration.

ALL Wars are Banker Wars, foreign AND DOMESTIC. The problem is, the people always seem to want to lose, and want the Bankers to win.

I think we're just gonna have to take whatever victories we can get, no matter how small they are.

+outta rep but yea that would be glorious. I'd say there's 1 in 100 odds that works, but hey, I've always been an optimist

So, now, let's recap.
The GOP has:
A majority in the Senate.
... which, of course, isn't enough for legislative action. For that they need 60 Senators. Is anyone taking bets on how long before the Democrats (who have, for the past four years, attacked the Senate filibuster rules) are extoling the virtue of the Senate filibuster rule?

For most Presidential appointments, they only need 51 Senators to confirm - so there is that.

With a simple majority, they can do some things through budget reconciliation - but you'll have to get the RINO's onboard; there are, after all, two Republican parties (just as there are two Democratic parties).

Decision Desk HQ projected the GOP would hold the House by winning its 218th seat on Monday, the number needed for a majority in the lower chamber.

Remember to pull back one of those because Elise Stefanik is Trump's chosen appointment to be UN ambassador. Once she takes her post and until there's a special election to fill her seat, you don't really have her vote to achieve the majority you need.

GOP almost surely is getting AK and probably CA 13 and 41. They will have at least 218.

I don't expect much. The war in Ukraine is going to end, WW3 won't start. Inflation will slow. Thing will be generally better, but not spectactular. That's about as good as it gets.

And that’s a win enough. I truly believe we will get better than the bare minimum, but the bare minimum in this case is akin to bleeding out. A win would be to slowing the blood loss. At a minimum we are winning.
