How long until we are a majority?

If we keep up the fight this vigorously and tptb continue their hubris (continuing to be quite noticeable), 1/2 a generation. Around 20 years.
It's a matter of bravery which is the key. Not until its widely socially acceptable for men and women refuse to serve tyranny at their own expense.

That happening is questionable when you look at history. The force gathering to push up in the last 40 years must continue to accelerate or invisible slavery is inevitable.

do the rough math. rough average age of Ron Paul support 18-30 is 24y.o. Biggest voting block average age 55-57: so about 31 years.

I'll be dead by then.

can't wait.

ok, that was mean, I take it back. :)

Maybe never, but we don't really need a majority to win or to change anything.

How can one give a time? There is nothing inevitable about liberty; the usual state of mankind is subjugation to a strongman. So if you are not willing to fight and keep fighting throughout your life, do not expect it.

It would be a complete loss if Rand doesn't step forward in 2016 (whether or not Ron wins this year) and compound on the movement that has been built up in this election.

IMO, 2008 was the beginning of the re-enlightenment of freedom (the period that really connected modern liberty lovers as well as planted seeds), 2012 is a big test for us but 2016 will be the liberty movement's first real exam!

doesn't have to be Rand; it could be but this is not a family movement; there could be Judge Nap; there could be Justin Amash; there could be someone who is elected to the senate in 2014.

So true. It could also be RP running at age 80 just to make things interesting.

We don't need a majority to achieve liberty.

Truer words have never been spoken. Everyone around here acts like it all ends with Paul's campaign. IF thats true then we are wasting our time whether he gets into office or not.

Im NOT wasting my time on a cause that is lost. Exactly the opposite. I actually feel its a bit selfish to be libertarian. We should all be selfish to a point, but not too far. Its in our own interest to not only support Paul but to recruit every single person we can to this movement.

I worry about my family and my fellow Americans, but I cant do much for them other than to turn them on to being a libertarian. With that comes responsibility, but Im more than happy with that.
