My son and his wife told me about this. Combined their checks are $75/week lighter now. The sad thing is that because of this they fired their cleaning service which cost them $90/week. Now here is the sad part of it all, the girls that run the maid service are two women, they clean 3 houses per day and just lost at least one client because of this tax hike. So you have girls that make $500 a week each cleaning houses losing $45 of that. Not to mention that their taxes went up as well. It's a vicious cycle.

Exactly. And think of it as it spirals down, those women have less money to spend now, which means someone else somewhere is getting hours cut back or losing their job. It's really a sad state we are in.

The problem is that the left HATES capitalism and rejoices in seeing this stuff happen, because somewhere out there someone had to file for welfare or food stamps for the first time because of the vicious cycle at work.

Exactly, it expired for the self employed too, so we should see prices slowly rise at pizza shops, barbershops, hardware stores, etc.

I am missing 8 hours on today's check but they took out an extra $14 bucks. I figure I will be missing about $65-$70 a month. I am not sure about my wife yet. We will know Tuesday.

People need to recognize that every time they see the price of something go up, that is as much of a Pay Cut as an increase in Taxes.
