This is my most successful post to date. And when I say most successful, I mean the longest. Oh and +1000 points to the few gay Ron Paul supporters who expressed their opinion. I have to say I was quite surprised to hear from them. I thought gay Ron Paul supporters were like unicorns or elves.

A few years ago, an older gay man had a relationship with a man who was in the closet and married. He was so in the closet, not open about his feelings and horrified of how they made him feel that he horribly murdered the older man.

i'm sure these types of scenarios occur more often than reported. I'm currently reading "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" and I was surprised to learn that there were bunches (not bunchies) of gays in the S.S. Like actual troopers. The really off the wall type of people. I think that when you live in a society that says you are "wrong" then some may compensate by over doing it in the other direction. To prove their non-gayness or to -poke out your eye if it causes you to sin- .... kinda thing.

Which just goes to show-- liberals don't have any fucking consistancy in their positions. How can a gay person also believe in evolution and at the same time say homo-sexuality is a genetic condition? Seems to me "natural selection" would eliminate homos from the gene pool, so why are more people gay than ever before?

There is an answer-- just don't look to genetics for it.

Honestly I am too tired to try and rebut all of the uneducated assumptions, lies and wives tails I just read. I am pansexual so most would consider me bi. This does not mean I want to sleep with guys and chicks at the same time. It simply means I can be attracted fairly equally to both. I am not afraid of my emotions and the love in my heart feels the same whether it is a guy or a girl.

I do not worry if it is choice for anyone. I wish happiness and health for everyone equally.

Yeah I'm kind of thinking the same thing. About all the crazy stuff being said on this thread, not about me being bisexual. My dad is gay and half of my genes are his so I guess that was a eugenics fail on his part. Also, eugenics has no solid theory to back it up. Hitler was completely uneducated about Darwin's theory of evolution and acted like it backed up the genocide he committed. I didn't understand evolution either until I took a class in it. It's just like libertarianism. It can't be said in a couple sound bites. It can take a long time to fully comprehend.

Anyway, I don't think homosexuality is a choice either. It might be genetic and/or environmental but that doesn't make it a disorder. I don't feel threatened by homosexuality either but I'm a woman so that might be one of the reasons why. Oh and also because I grew up in the same house as a homosexual. It never comes in conversation any more than you would talk about the color of your eyes. We just treat each other as individuals and I think that is the most important thing we do as Paulites is to just treat each other as individuals. I think we do for the most part too.

Do you do some kind of music thing perhaps? I noticed lots of bars/event type places.
Yes I am an audio engineer professionally by trade. I do many other things too but I do a fair share of concerts. So I guess you could say I do rock and roll for a living....;)

In some people its a choice, some it may be influenced by genetics or society. There is no clear cut answer. Some people have foot fetishes, is that a choice?

I agree with this. This is why I don't vote yes or no.
