Nearly everything is genetic. We are just left with varying degrees of choice and ability to suppress or accentuate those genetic traits.

Then they will eventuall eradicate themselves out of the gene pool, right?

:)

Over thousands of years, I doubt gay genes would still be in existence. Nurture > nature in this case, I believe.

It is a perversion.

If the perversion is a natural occurring thing then it is nature's built-in eugenics program. A genetic dead end. A failed genetic mutation of evolution, but nevertheless a human being who deserves the respect that all human beings deserve.

If the perversion is not a natural occurring thing, then it is a social disease, more than likely a psychological disorder induced by unnatural environment, which most likely was initiated by the elite's depopulation agenda and it's war on 'the family'. The biggest threat to the elite is the family, thus a war on 'the family' and it's values. You have to make the people think being decadent and immoral is acceptable behavior to defeat the notion that a natural family lineage has any value. My life is about progeny, and I will pass on all fruits of my labor and try my best to not let 'the man' get any of it in the process. I do it all for my kids, even being involved politically. I want to leave the earth a better place for my kids. Homosexuality does not = kids or natural family. It does not compute to me.

I do not judge people due to their sexual preference, but instead by their actions. It is unfortunate that so many people who have alternative sexual preferences decide that their sexual preference IS their identity and present themselves as such. "Hi! I'm gay!" I usually find these type of people very annoying. Why not just be a human being instead of a homosexual? Imagine the inverse.. "Hi! I'm straight!" It's ridiculous. I love them or hate them the same as anyone else in an evaluation, and do not discriminate. Nothin' but love for all and a healthy respect for earth's nature and the natural way of things in existence.

uh oh. now you did it. prepare to be dogpiled.

Lol, nope, totally safe. Im way too ugly to catch the 'gay' anyway.

Setting humor and such aside, the 'your gay if you criticize gays' bit is old and worn out. just an FYI.

hehe, you're right about that. So is the "ya know how I know your gay" joke. Worn out, but still makes me laugh on the inside. Be warned though, a guy who is gay who is still "in the closet" is much more likely to... uh, do something that would violate your person. Openly gay .... gays, I have found, usually don't waste their time on the straight straights.

Unless the gay guy is drunk, then look out!! :D

Our society just is finally half accepting homosexuality after hundreds of years of suppression. It takes a while for the cultural acceptance to work its way through society. I'm sure in ancient Greece the normal greeting wasn't "Hi, I'm gay!" even though bi-sexuality was very common.

And though some people might introduce themselves in a "Hi, I'm gay" manner, the majority of gays are still in the closet out of fear. The ones who are out of the closet often try to encourage their homosexual friends to be open about it as well. Some people are over-the-top, and as with any particular group, create a sterotype that only hurts their kind in the eyes of some.

I've known many gay people, and not one tried to "convert" me. They just wanted to be accepted for who they are.

all of this sucks----

this is really good though!

See, what you're really talking about is sexual passion (which can be destructive). Whether straight or gay, it doesn't matter. You mask your prejudice in a legitimate argument against all sexual passion. This is like Scientology's dark twisting of Buddhism.

A few years ago, an older gay man had a relationship with a man who was in the closet and married. He was so in the closet, not open about his feelings and horrified of how they made him feel that he horribly murdered the older man.

There are hundreds of horrible diseases and conditions that kill people at early ages or leave them in a physical or mental state where they are unable to have children or die before child-bearing age. If that were true, then most of those wouldn't be around any more, either.

i'm sure these types of scenarios occur more often than reported. I'm currently reading "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" and I was surprised to learn that there were bunches (not bunchies) of gays in the S.S. Like actual troopers. The really off the wall type of people. I think that when you live in a society that says you are "wrong" then some may compensate by over doing it in the other direction. To prove their non-gayness or to -poke out your eye if it causes you to sin- .... kinda thing.

Take this with a grain of salt. I passed Biology only because the tests were multiple choice (thank god for NCLB!), but even recessive traits would be fairly common in families to have gay children, right? In other words, if someone is gay, shouldn't the person's ancestry be freckled with homosexuality if it were genetic?

Instinctively, I selected that it is indeed a choice. This is because I do not believe there is any gene that makes you hetero or homosexual.

However, not everyone can control their environment at a young age, which I think leads to homosexual tendencies and lifestyles. Ultimately though, there is always a choice.

Perhaps this explains the occassional cop misuse of nightstick... Many of them seem to be compensating for... something.

I think prison rape is usually a matter of dominance, not sexual attraction.

Oh, well yeah. Obviously.

I call bull on that. To act on a desire to have sex with a man means you are gay or bisexual, whether you are in jail or not. There are 500 different ways to dominate a man other than through anal sex. There is no faking it, when you consider what the deed entails. lol. No, the person is acting on impulse, a deep rooted desire combined with aggressive behavior. A TRULY straight man can't force himself to do the deed, because it becomes too repulsive.

Just like straights, there are more than one type of personality traits among gays. Most gays are rather passive, or submissive and stay away from jail. Those in jail, esp those who rape, are usually very aggressive people, who act on impulse. This is probably what landed him in jail. A large percentage of these guys may be attracted to women too, but also find men appealing enough to act upon their impulse . A straight guy in jail would likely use his fists to dominate, while a gay or bisexual man would use something else.

True. Sane too. :)

I don't think you can pinpoint it to a yes or no, personally.
It's like saying that you're either Republican or Democrat; Christian or atheist; the false left-right idea that still goes on to this day.
For me, being bisexual is of itself not a choice. Choosing to have sex with a male or female is, obviously, a choice. But do I feel that I choose to be sexually attracted to both? No. I feel that you can't say with full confidence what or how something is unless you are actually a part of it or have experienced it in some way. Even then, no one has an ultimate answer. I was finished being fearful of keeping these thoughts in surrounding my attraction towards males (since that's more looked down upon), and that's why I came out. I have a magnificent boyfriend, and no, I don't identify myself as homosexual.

Now someone else might think differently because no one is the same.

Anyone who would post in such a thread like this is gay...

Wait.
