How can one possibly NOT believe in the Truth of Christ?

I don't expect god to be anything, because it doesn't exist.

You started this thread by projecting particular values and attributes on to God.
jmdrake was the one who shifted the focus away from God and onto his followers.

If you had started a "Christians are bigoted dickheads who like to kill brown people and force people to worship the state" thread, I'd agree with you.
Make sure you're picking the right fight next time.

Guys don’t fall into the trap of trying to explain logically an illogical question.

THe OP statements are generic statements that are used to Mock and ridicule people of Faith. They hold no real logical value to them because they are not meant to be logical. They are meant to Mock, simple as that.

Well, Monarchist, if you're a man of reason, then answer jmdrake's charge that you're engaging in straw man fallacies.
No mainstream denomination of Christianity claims that God created man with original sin.
Additionally, it has been brought up that nobody claims God condemns man to sin.
There are two strawmen in your OP.
Answer that, or admit that you are the party who has abandoned reason.

I didn't realize pointing terribly flawed and convoluted logic was "mocking". I'll stop when all the "non-Christians are all evil, potential-fascist rat fink" posts cease.

"There can be but little liberty on earth while men worship a tyrant in heaven." - Robert Ingersoll

How is your inflammatory picture not in mocking nature? It is not a logical question. It is not a progression of thought dictated with reason. It is an insult to those who have beliefs different than yours. Being snarky about your beliefs to others and denying you're mocking them?

You are a child. Grow up and relate your spiritual arguments like an adult.

...

Christianity only claims Adam and Eve weren’t created with original sin; with everyone else it’s a different matter.

Romans 5:12
When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam's sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.

Well for the record, Christians don't universally believe God created man with original sin. Some (like myself) believe God created man perfect, but with the power of choice. The plan of salvation was put in place for when man made the wrong choice. And while I haven't counted I'm pretty sure there have been more "Let's hate on Christianity" threads than "Let's hate on all non Christians" threads. But maybe that's observer bias.

There have been far more pro Christian threads than anything else. I'll bet the religious people on RPF outnumber the none religious people be a wide margin.

I really don't care if you guys are religious. I'm not.

Although I've come to appreciate many of the good values that Christianity teaches.
The rest of my 'person' does not accept the concept of a God. Almighty or not.
But again, without some of those values I would not be who I am now...

Don't get me wrong, even though I personally can't understand the logic in people going to church, I do have deep respect for people following their true beliefs.

Ummmm....not every "pro Christian" thread is a "bash everyone else" thread. So your point is? And I wasn't counting the atheist threads that just discuss their point of view without overtly bashing or mocking Christianity like this one.

These are my thoughts, precisely.

I've presented my non-religious view points in many threads and received tons of reply posts bashing my ideas without engaging in any sort of discussion. So it goes both ways.

Christianity is so pervasive in our society that I still volunteer to work for charity in Churches; even though I no longer believe.

What you say to a Christian in a public forum:

What this Christian actually hears as it's defense:

"I don't have a relationship with a god who I can't prove doesn't exist to you or disprove it as a positive force for you and those you love, so I'm gonna say something publicly about it not based on your own definition or understanding of it, but based on my non-belief of your god that doesn't exist for me.

May I be so bold as to offer opinions as to why you shouldn't believe what you believe even though I haven't had the same personal experiences as yourself, and though we both will surely die I am not comfortable with you dealing with that in your own way, and I will top it all off by reminding you how I perceive you as coming off as superior and that I resent it. Ta-dah!!!"
