How atheists became the most colossally smug and annoying people on the planet

I actually do think that nobody has a religion by it's definition. I've seen too much evidence of hypocrisy by those that claim to be religious. Even most of them don't believe in the dogma they are required to.

If you want to start the claim that every single person has their own religion then have at it. You're argument that atheism is a religion has now been destroyed.

I'll go along with this.

If a religion has to involve two or more people agreeing on everything, then you may be right that no such thing exists.

If a religion has to involve one or more people believing something, then at least almost everybody has one, and definitely all atheists do.

I never said that atheism was a religion. But I do agree, that if we follow your reasoning that nobody in the world has a religion, it would follow that no atheist has a religion either.

Atheists (at least with the normal definition of "atheist") believe that there is no creator god.
a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered AS the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies,
An atheist does not believe in a creator god. Therefore, he has no beliefs in regards to the universe AS being created by a creator god.
Stating that the tooth fairy doesn't exist isn't a belief about the tooth fairy. It's a fact about the tooth fairy. Are you going to use Aristotle to prove the existence of the tooth fairy next?

You're being illogical. Or else you don't understand English.

You don't have to believe in a creator god to have a belief concerning the universe when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency.

If you believe that the universe is not the creation of a superhuman agency, then you have a belief concerning the universe when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency.

An atheist does not believe in a creator god. Therefore, he has no beliefs a belief in regards to the universe AS being created by a creator god.

If you don't believe in Lord Brahma, are you still a Hindu because you have a belief about a Hindu God/Creator?

I don't know.

But whatever your religion is, it's a religion.

Actually naming specific religions may be difficult.

If you believe that the universe is not the creation of a god, then you have a no belief concerning the universe as the creation of a god.

I've simplified it, but I doubt you'll understand. You are too stuck in your own "religion". Not believing in something is not believing in something.

Right.

Notice that the definition of "religion" that you wanted to use at no point stipulates that a religion includes any beliefs in anything.

Hmmmm......... If I don't believe in God, Lord Brahma, Baron Samedi , or Allah, then maybe I'm a poly-atheist Christian-Hindu-Muslim-Jew-Vodun guy. Our meetings are complicated.

Maybe. Or maybe a Videodromist.

Whatever you are, it's a religion.

You are saying you believe something about something you don't believe in.

Of course.

If you believe the tooth fairy does not exist, that is a belief concerning the tooth fairy.

How is this not completely obvious to you?

Because it's nonsense. It is impossible to both hold a belief about something and have no belief about that same something. It's a contradiction.

What you just said is a contradiction, but that's not what I said.

If you believe the tooth fairy does not exist, then you cannot claim to have no belief about the tooth fairy. Your belief that she doesn't exist is a belief about her.

I think you're just being stubborn now because you probably finally do understand this and just don't want to concede the point.

Nonsense. The tooth fairy doesn't exist. It's a statement of fact. That's not a belief. Saying it's a "belief" creates a contradiction. You can't simultaneously have a belief about something that you have no belief about.
