How are we doing in Louisiana?

Well, in my small town, I feel nothing one way or the other. There was no signs except for one, ironically was for Ron Paul, but it was posted in front of a tattoo shop, so I doubt that it has any merit other than for that ONE supporter that I'm aware of. I doubt half these people realize what's going on for the 22nd from where I'm at. I have a feeling we will do really really good on Tuesday and more importantly I think we will have a lot better turn out for the primary to make sure no one gets 50% in order to get our delegates. Besides, the location for several parishes winds up being rather far from where I live, people really aren't willing to deal with Lafayette traffic to deal with that, atleast not just your turn of the mill regular Joes. We have a lot of people signed up and ready to go get voted in and I haven't had any word of anyone other candidate paying this state any attention what so ever. Here are some encouraging quotes from an email I received from the Louisiana based campaign HQ's:

"January 17, 2008

Victory is near! We are six short days away from the caucuses here in Louisiana and things are looking very good for us. The Ron Paul campaign was the only campaign to submit a full slate of delegates for the entire state, thanks to all of your hard work. In fact, even though there are six candidates competing for delegates, Ron Paul has one third of all delegates running in Louisiana!

I want to thank all of you for working so hard to get us to where we are now. I also want to ask you to help see us through and ensure a victory at the caucuses for Ron Paul."

Just so you know, you can stop by any of the Ron Paul campaign offices in Louisiana and pick up as many signs, stickers, buttons and slim-jims as you want for free. If I were you guys I would start trying to distribute this stuff in every city and town in the state.

Oh yea, definately know about that. I've got a couple up on my parents property which is on a main highway for a busy town in Lafayette parish. But where I live at (small town called Delcambre) they don't like their feathers to be ruffled. You'll find that in several small towns. They're older people, with older views, and coming in there throwing signs everywhere on peoples properties will actually only get them to speak negatively about it over morning coffee. But we're trying to convert those ol'southern boys! ;)

We should do very well, we are organized and ready for the caucuses. Sorry can't give more details, trying to keep this low key.

Dont worry about a lack of signs. The best thing you can do is nicely talk to your friends and neighbors about Ron Paul. Most people have a negative concept of RP and his supporters from the media but if you kindly and quitely talk to your neighbors about the message you will be suprised on how receptive they will be. It is more effective than any sign.

Louisiana... haven't heard much about it on the news. Does the media cover this caucus much?

Why would you want to keep success low key?

In case there are people from other campaigns spying in here...

I have no doubt there *are* spies in these forums, but I am doubtful there are very many of them, or that they're doing anything other than trolling.

low turnout favors us.... no media coverage.... no one knows to vote... we beat the Neocons at their own game because they got cocky.

oh i so hope you guys in LA win but know matter what happens dont be hard on yourselfs looks like you guys did all that you could ---great job and thanks
