MANCHESTER, N.H. -- The 2012 Ron Paul Presidential Campaign today announced County Leadership teams for the Granite State.



“We’re very pleased to have the support and organizational muscle of these dedicated supporters,” said Paul campaign New Hampshire State Director Jared Chicoine.



Hillsborough County

-State Rep. Lisa Scontsas (R-Nashua) is a successful small business owner.

-Paul Harrington is a former state representative and vice chairman of the Nashua City Republican Committee, and a strong advocate for individuals’ health freedoms.

-State Rep. Cameron DeJong (R-Manchester) is a selectman in Manchester and a sales leader in the wireless industry.



Rockingham County

-State Rep. Donna Mauro (R-Windham) owns a successful high technology company in Salem.

-Sherry Rand of North Hampton is a business owner, a participant in The League of Women Voters, and a member of the Rotary Club of Hampton.

-Phil Nazzaro is a Newmarket Town Councilor, a West Point graduate, and a 10-year veteran of the United States Army, having served as a company commander in Afghanistan. He also serves as the vice-chair of the Veterans Memorial Trust Committee, Senior Vice Commander of American Legion Post 67, and on the Black Bear TIF and Highway Public Safety Committees.

-Jason Sullivan, a partner of Craven, Sullivan & Splendore, PLLC, specializes in business and immigration law. He was appointed to serve on the New Hampshire Bar Association's New Lawyers Committee and the Law Practice Management Task Force. He is also a member of Latinos on the Move New England.



Grafton County

-State Rep. Paul Ingbretson (R-Haverhill), serving his fifth term, is an artist and teacher.

-State Rep. Paul Mirski (R-Enfield) is serving his sixth term. He founded the House Republican Alliance and is the House Majority Policy Advisor.

-Tyler Stearns is a graduate student at Plymouth State University, and first ran for a state house seat when he was 17.

-Shawn Boyd resides in Littleton where he owns an insurance business and a barber shop.



Merrimack County

-State Rep. Jenn Coffey (R-Andover) is serving her second term. She served as the Republican whip for the Transportation Committee in her first term and currently serves as the vice chairman of Commerce and Consumer Affairs and the chair of the Banking Division.

-Pam Ean, a veteran of many conservative campaigns, is the vice chair of the Concord Republican City Committee after chairing it since 2007. A former police officer, she teaches Spanish and German at Merrimack Valley High School in Penacook.

-Ron Noyes is well known throughout New England as a successful musician. His music has played on more than 100 radio stations from California to Maine.

-State Rep. JR Hoell (R-Bow) is a materials engineer at Segway Inc., and a principal of an engineering consulting firm.



Sullivan County

-Bill McGonigle lives in Plainfield. A graduate of Dartmouth, he owns and manages BFC Computing, a computer consultancy in Lebanon.

-Bill Walker is the District Chairman for the Sunapee District of the Boy Scouts. He is a past president of the local MicroCredit NH chapter, board member with the Upper Valley Computer Industry Association, and serves on the Plainfield Zoning Board.



Strafford County

-State Rep. Fred Leonard (R-Rochester) is a long-time conservative activist.

-State Rep. Lou Vita (R-Middleton) is also the Clerk for the Middleton Zoning Board of Adjustment, Vice-Chairman of the Strafford Regional Planning Commission Executive Committee, member of the Cocheco River Local Advisory Council and vice president of National Active and Retired Federal Employees Chapter 1055.

-State Rep. Carol Vita (R-Milton) is a member of the House Republican Alliance, New Hampshire Liberty Alliance, and the Strafford County Legislative Delegation. Carol is the Clerk for the Middleton Conservation Commission, a Commissioner on the Strafford Regional Planning Commission and a member of the Cocheco River Local Advisory Council. She is also the Clerk of The St. Peter Ladies Guild.

-David Mincin is a realtor with Keller Williams Coastal Realty. Before moving to Barrington in 2007, David was actively involved in the taxpayer movement in Dover, and ran for city council in 2005. While living Barrington, he has served on the Barrington Budget Committee.



Carroll County

-William Denley was a Captain and Judge Advocate in United States Marine Corps. A long-time attorney, he has served as the Assistant United States Attorney, as well as town attorney for Wakefield, where he was also a member of the budget committee and chaired the school board. He has served in both in the New Hampshire House and Senate.

-Ralph DeRosa of Madison works for a local printer and for the Attitash Grand Summit.

-Teshia O'Keefe is a wife and a mother of four children. She resides in Wolfeboro.



Belknap County

-David Devoy, a 28-year veteran with the United States Army, owns three convenience stations in Belknap County including Gilford Mobil Mart, Bosco Bell Store, and Blueberry Station.

-State Rep. Robert Kingsbury (R-Laconia) is the former president of the Laconia Taxpayers Association, former director of the Granite State Taxpayers, the Coalition of New Hampshire Taxpayers and of Gun Owners of New Hampshire.

-State Rep. Robert Malone (R-Alton) is self-employed as a building and remodeling contractor.

-Gary Maheu runs a family insurance business in Laconia with his father. In 2000, he opened an information consulting firm and sold the booming business two years later.



Coos County

-Dr. Aaron Horsley-Teny practices dentistry in Whitefield.

-Eric Catman owns and operates a distribution business in Coos Co. He serves on the Planning Board for the Town of Stark.

Isn't that great for Paul. In NH has has 2 state senator and 22 (only 20 listed) current state reps endorsing him. That doesn't include the former state reps. Still, I think 22 may still make him 3rd or maybe 2nd in current state rep endorsements in NH. Though, with 8 of those endorsements announced this week, that is a good sign.

LONDONDERRY, N.H. (AP) — Mitt Romney's grip on New Hampshire may be far less secure than it seems.

Beneath the conventional wisdom, the expectations game and the evolving dynamics of a newly settled GOP presidential field, there lies a stark reality here: Less than 100 days before the nation's first presidential primary election, the state's fickle voters haven't tuned into the race.

That reality was on display last week when 10 New Hampshire women, middle-class mothers with a strong voting history, shared their perspectives on the presidential contest with political researchers — and had trouble simply naming the candidates.

When asked who was running, they cited Romney, the former Massachusetts governor, and his chief rival, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, relatively quickly. One of them tentatively suggested the name of Texas Rep. Ron Paul. But they could name no one else. They could not recall former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman, who had recently moved his national headquarters to a building about 10 miles down the road. They didn't mention the only woman in the race, Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann. Nor did they name businessman Herman Cain.

"Many primary voters aren't truly paying attention to the race right now," says Michael Dennehy, a New Hampshire-based Republican operative who led Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign four years ago.

The full slate of Republican presidential candidates is descending upon New Hampshire for the first time this week, courting this state's independent-minded voters in diners, corner stores and town halls before and after squaring off in a Tuesday night debate at Dartmouth College.

Three months before the primary, polls show that Romney, the former governor of a neighboring state, is the Republican to beat. He has a summer home on Lake Winnipesaukee here and is often referred to as an adopted New Hampshire son on the campaign trail. A WMUR Granite State poll released late Friday says he is the current choice of 37 percent of likely New Hampshire Republican primary voters. Cain finished a distant second with 12 percent.

Only 11 percent said they have definitely settled on a candidate. Another 21 percent are leaning toward someone. But that leaves 89 percent of people who could change their mind between now and the primary early next year.

Early polls are hardly predictive. And with so many voters not tuned into the race, the dynamics are all but certain to change. The result of the Iowa caucuses — tentatively slated for Jan. 3, seven days or less before the New Hampshire primary — also will set the stage for the contest here.

"It's very fluid," said Kevin Smith, a likely Republican gubernatorial candidate and head of one of the state's leading conservative think tanks. "Any one of these guys could catch lightning in a bottle."

So far, just one candidate, Paul, has begun to run television ads.

Up until two weeks ago, it appeared that Perry was poised to challenge Romney's dominance. But poor debate performances combined with underwhelming campaign stops around the state have seemed to stall Perry's momentum. He's lost ground in early polling here since entering the race in August even though his campaign has at least a dozen paid staffers in the state and he's visited four times as a candidate. He has vowed to compete as hard in New Hampshire as anywhere else, despite Romney's inherent advantages and Perry's southern roots.

"Polls at this point are neither predictive or enlightening," said Perry's top political adviser, Dave Carney, who is based in New Hampshire. "These public polls have zero impact in our plans, which is to be competitive in every contest through Tampa 2012" when the GOP holds its presidential nominating convention.

Some candidates have more riding on New Hampshire than others.

Bachmann was visiting New Hampshire for only the second time as a candidate. Any enthusiasm for her campaign that once existed here has all but died after she made clear her intention to largely ignore New Hampshire in favor of states like Iowa and South Carolina, where her socially conservative positions carry more weight.

New Hampshire allows independent voters to participate in the Republican primary, which favors candidates with support beyond the traditional Republican base.

That's among the reasons why Huntsman, considered more moderate than his rivals, is staking his political future on the state. Facing weak national polling and financial strains, the former Utah governor recently relocated his national headquarters from Florida to New Hampshire.

If the move didn't make it clear, Huntsman spokesman Michael Levoff did when he said: "New Hampshire is our top priority."

And while few Republicans expect Paul to knock off Romney here, the Texas congressman with libertarian views could be poised to play spoiler. He is often mentioned as one of the "Big Three" in Republican circles along with Romney and Perry. Many expect him to finish in second or third place.

"The pressure is going to be ramped up on these front runners as people in New Hampshire do what we do best, which is putting these candidates through their paces and doing it rather mercilessly," said Phyllis Woods, a New Hampshire member of the Republican National Committee. "That's the challenge for New Hampshire. People are going to have to choose the best candidate who can win against Obama."

OMG NH is ripe for a full blown guerilla marketing strategy for basic name recognition to those that have no idea Ron Paul is even running for President which sounds like that's basically the majority of voters in NH.

We should be busing in truck loads of Ron Paul volunteers into NH right now. Ron Paul volunteers from around the country should be getting there in Motorcycles, Bicycles, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Horse and Buggy, whatever.

I understand the campaign wants to play a traditional campaign strategy which they should, use their money wisely for media and hold off on major actions like mailers and door to door canvassing for closer to the primary, but there is a name recognition war going on right now in NH that none of other candidates could compete against our grassroots. The problem is the numbers of Volunteers in NH isn't enough to blanket the state, if we actually had enough grassroots in the state to make a difference this wouldn't be a problem, they need help!

We really need neighboring states and more people from around the country to start heading to NH.

Fighting the name recognition challenge is what grassroots excels at.

we were almost whammied with a december date for this all, even so... we NEED more people in N.H as in like yesterday...

We are now starting to learn that the state primaries and caucuses are being moved up which impacts the deadline for registration as a Republican to vote Ron Paul. The deadlines being moved up as early as two weeks from now!

For those of us that were here in 2007 this should come as no surprise, a few of us on this board have been warning that the dates are not fixed and that this was going to happen. We should have already been bracing our selves for an announcement like this and those of you that were not ready then I say shame on you. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice.... etc.

And now the point of this post, guys I do not want to head up to New Hampshire to help with door to door in the December bitter cold and have NH in the same situation it was in back in 2007. I posted the below thread back then and would hate to have to post a similar thread this coming December and then have people upset that something wasn't said earlier. This is why I'm posting this now October 1st, a full three months before the primary.

This is a reminder just so that way no one can accuse me later of not having said anything.

DO NOT LET US MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES WE MADE IN 2007. Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
