Houston We Have A Problem - New Hampshire Canvasers & Post Signs in NH NEEDED ASAP!!!

pm me if you want to mail me signs

i'm going over to ron's town hall tonight and giving out signs to people who have lawns and sign up. i bought these myself; rumor is the official campaign isn't wasting money on yard signs

shem - would it be possible to print out this link and bring it in case there are any dems there? The registration date to become GOP is Oct 14, and while independents don't need to reregister in NH Dems or other party members need to. Here is the link for info, and if you could print up the link on paper so you could give it to people who need it, that might be helpful. Just a thought. http://www.sos.nh.gov/vote.htm

Well, we do have Rand that we can send into Iowa and NH that could help with the more traditional republican crowd. Any idea as for when Rand gets unleashed? I know that timing is everything, we don't wanna send him in to early, but certainly not to late either.

As for the grassroots I wonder if Vince Vaughn would be good to send into Iowa, or would that turn off the people Rand is going to help us with? Joe Rogan maybe?

Sure would be nice to get Chuck Norris to come out and do a press conference endorsement with Ron in Iowa. Hopefully the campaign has some great events planned that will help with what we're worrying about.

They aren't talking about people from out of state. They're talking about getting people who live there excited and working.

Identify and organize New Hampshire resident supporters, instead of driving long distances to New Hampshire.

The question is how do we find and organize our New Hampshire supporters, without driving long distances to do it.

I'd suspect that someone like rp08orbust would be able to describe a plan involving phone calls. "If you can correctly identify who is the champion of the constitution, you win a prize."

If you're interested in helping NH, there's a phone from home program already started up. Has been up a while.

Like I said in my earlier post we will have to agree to disagree regarding your view of having out of state volunteers come to NH to help with coverage, the number of actual volunteers currently active in NH, and the amount and type of work that is currently needed as well as the schedule. As far as the phone from home it's listed as the number 1 item in the OP of suggested things volunteers should be doing to help, in case you missed it.

You are absolutely right this is exactly the type of thing the campaign should be doing as pointed out by the Power Rankings article regarding sending in surrogates into early states. There are not many better ones than Rand for this, he appeals to Republican groups, has won a senate seat and people know him from the media coverage. If there is a shortage of surrogates in terms of scheduling I wouldn't even mind having the one guy who spoke in place of Ron Paul at the President 5 conference he did an amazing job and there are many other really good choices as well. There should probably be an effort to have surrogates also in states Ron Paul isn't currently in to maximize efforts.

yeah we're aware of the date and scrambling on plan of action

You probably know this but just putting it out there just in case.

If Dems are hesitant to register Republican, which I'm sure some will be, they can always register Undeclared and still have the option to vote in the Republican primary. The deadline to do this is still October 14.

Yeah, I'm not saying you're way off base here. I just don't see the problem. Absolutely we could use strong Youth For Ron Paul groups in every Boston area college or university, and they should be filling buses every weekend, going up and hitting a city at a time.

But we need the strong Youth For Ron Paul groups, and then those people in those groups should be going there and making quick hits to NH.

More people in NH is good. We are in agreement on this. I just think that some methods of getting people there are less than efficient.

UNH Durham College Democrats?
Dartmouth College Democrats?
NORML?
Anti War groups?

There's 11 days, not an easy project. The good news is that Ds don't really love Ron Paul the way Is do.

Just out of curiosity did you participate in the training class with Anita Andrews in 2007?

No, why, how did what I have to say coincide with what she had to say, or differ from what she had to say?

I'm bound to a non disclosure agreement so can't say specifically, but in any case I was just curious.

That is a confusing answer, am I guessing right if I'm to say you must know her in some way?

I will say that years ago, on another campaign, which I'm not going into, I took a bus with a bunch of other people, mostly college students, from Boston to New Hampshire.
Election day there was a bus from Boston to New Hampshire, if not more than one bus. I was up there from Boston on that bus a few times. And it was pretty early in the process. I don't know, or don't remember where most of the people volunteering (that's what it was called back then - volunteering) came from, but big numbers of Boston students were there. I would assume that she might have been aware of this method.

No doesn't have anything to do with buses, was just curious.

Here is an informative video from those interested in learning more about election strategies regarding Canvassing, Delivering Literature, etc. beyond voter identification and mailers. This particular video was a presentation done in Winnipeg, so an argument might be made that U.S. elections vary a bit but the core principles are about the same. There is a number of principles I wish I could discuss, however because of NDAs currently I can't, and the possibility of information overlapping specific information regarding strategies (not tactics) of the current campaign I'm not sure I would want to. However the way I see it is if there is already a public discussion regarding campaign strategy examples on the net from other sources then there is really no conflict, in any case currently on the hunt for any election strategy videos to share so if anyone knows of any please lets us know.

Good part starts at;

2:30 - In general what campaign volunteers do (drop ins and volunteers) [persuasive canvassing, delivering literature, sign placement and tactical exposure]
7:50 - Three ways that campaign volunteers help: # of volunteers, $ donated, voter contact

The experiment example he uses has more to do with GOTV.
