President Donald Trump warned in a tweet Thursday amid the Ukraine whistleblower inquiry that the stock market would melt down if Congress successfully impeached him.
“If they actually did this the markets would crash. Do you think it was luck that got us to the best Stock Market and Economy in our history. It wasn’t,” the tweet said.
Trump’s tweet came a day after the release of a rough summary of a July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The summary showed Trump asked Zelensky to “look into” former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter.

Rep Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.), chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, issued the subpoena in consultation with House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff and House Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings, who have been probing Trump's solicitation of foreign help in the 2020 election.

One difference comparedto Nixon case is that here almost all key 'facts' have already surfaced and in case of Nixon there was protracted fact finding and some details even came out after he exited.
So in a way it can be said this administration is more 'transparent'.

Clinton case seems more complex, there is no clear GOP base answer why he was impeached exactly since 'lying about sex' is dismissed by many GOP supporters these days. Unless there has been a morality evolution there.

Just two weeks ago they were trying to Impeach Kavanaugh and that imploded. Before that they tried to impeach Trump on anything they could.

This was set up, deep state dems are getting desperate. If they can't beat him in 2020, it says a lot about how much of the country they want you to think hates Trump.
