The 14 Republicans who voted down standalone Israel aid..

In combination with the annual stipend of 3.8 Billion plus additional military aid Biden sent, plus the cost of Pentagon maneuvers to back Israel, their tab would be easily over 25 Billion.

House Speaker Mike Whatshisname , "“We cannot wait any longer. The House is willing to lead, and the reason we have to take care of this Israel situation right now is because the situation has escalated,” he said.

Speaker Whatshisname's Israel handout is about the same amount as the 18.5 Billion being kicked around for immigration enforcement, and totally blows away the paltry 1.4 Billion for aid to struggling cities who can't house or feed the millions of migrants.

My God, I am so sick of this shit. Never mind it's funding the most immoral mass slaughter but where would said money come from? Oh, debt, of course. Borrow money from whomever to fund the Zionist killers. And, Ukraine. And NATO.

Did you guys catch, right after the Hamas attack, that a US house member showed up in IDF uniform? How outrageous is that and why in the hell would be tolerated? He should have been told leave. I hate it when the only people in govt who might agree with me are the "Squad" commies.

everyone should be a no on foreign aid, foriegn aid needs to be voluntary and not added to debtv with interest, why do they hate americans?

Speaker Johnson has reversed his pledge to offset new spending. That is the major problem here.

Having a small, stand-alone bill is generally what we want. It does put people on record, and that is a double edged sword. The hard-core neocons and rabid Zionists are attacking Massie full force on Twitter now because he said he would vote no.

Podhoretz, for example:

Well, that's disappointing, that the only reason the Freedom Caucus objects is because the money to pay for 18 Billion more to Israel is that the spending isn't being removed from some other item.

This doesn't take courage, and it's not a stand on principle. It still puts Israel First over America.

The fact that you inserted "only" in that sentence indicates that you don't have a very firm grip on American politics. Things are rarely done for more than one reason. People are always trying to get the support of those who aren't involved in the main issue through the side issues. "Only" rarely applies to anything in a nation of 330,000,000.

Let Israel fund its own. Their Debt/GDP is only around 60%. America's is 130%.

I have a firmer grip than you. But why argue? We're screwed and it's not our doing.

That is the complaint with Johnson. They can not complain about a stand alone bill and remain consistent and principled.

And it doesn't speak to how they will vote on it. The majority of the Freedom Caucus will probably vote "no" on the bill for fiscal conservative reasons.

Once again, this is where logical, consistent, principled politicians are at a disadvantage against the emotional left. The left would have no problem blocking a bill from a vote, by any means necessary (BAMN). They wouldn't care in the slightest if the action conflicted with everything they had ever professed for their entire lives.

And let's not forget, they all fear the Israel Lobby. Look at how they are attacking Massie right now.

"disingenuous piece of anti-Semitic filth" just doesn't have the same punchy ring to it as "third-rate grandstander"

Probably better to support Israel than have 7 milion Jews wash up on Ellis Island again.

We all know how that worked out.

Here are the 14 Republicans who voted against the bill:

Aaron Bean of Florida

Andy Biggs of Arizona

Lauren Boebert of Colorado

Andrew Clyde of Georgia

Eli Crane of Arizona

Warren Davidson of Ohio

Matt Gaetz of Florida

Bob Good of Virginia

Paul Gosar of Arizona

Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia

Thomas Massie of Kentucky

Cory Mills of Florida

Ralph Norman of South Carolina

Chip Roy of Texas

another failure for Mike "AIPAC wallet" Johnson.
