Brother-in-law's brother went to get himself a gun for his birthday and said the people ahead of him in the system waiting for background checks was in the thousands. This is in Colorado by the way where getting a gun is relatively easy, but some people here are looking to change that.

Went to Wal Mart last night. Their ammo case was almost bare. I wanted to pick up a few boxes of 7.62x39 to feed my antique "assault weapon". All they had left was the expensive stuff.

On a side note. Me and my family almost got hit head on by two cops on my side of the road in a curve. They were in full pursuit mode.

Rumor is most of the stores are pulling the AR's along with the ammo, mags, and accessories. Not that they are necessarily sold out.

Why? What would be the point of pulling the ARs? If they're legal to sell, the gun stores would lose money to do so.

Yep they were in fact pulling AR's and its accessories at Academy as well as other stores. And I have no idea, guess they just caved into all the media and the anti-gun crowd.
