Perhaps so. And if Ron Paul were a self-obsessed ego-maniac with billions to burn... I'm sure he'd consider it. That NOT being the case- Dr. Paul has wisely determined that the best opportunity for a return of Goldwater conservativism is STILL in the Republican Party- not outside of it. Personally, I salute him. Here's a guy who could make a 3rd Party run... shake our pockets for more money bombs... and basically draw a lot of attention to HIMSELF... instead of the message.... only to watch the movement melt away when the major candidates run away with the general election... Instead of engaging in that ego padding BS... he's putting his head down and going to work inside the GOP.... even though he's 72 years-old.. and may not himself live to see the benefit of all his efforts. Highly admirable.

At any right, there IS real opportunity for our message. The Republican Party is in shambles and on the verge of Civil War.... John McCain's "victory" is very likely the final act of the Socialist/Liberal/Neo-Con War Mongering wing of the party... We'll miss a real opportunity if we're off 3rd partying somewhere instead of battling inside the GOP IMHO...

Whether he wins doesn't matter. He's said repeatedly that the support that has been generated has surprised even him. It IS about the message. It always has been.

Even if Paul won, we'd still have to get other RP Republicans into positions of power in the Republican party. You really think if he won, the MSM, elites, bilderbergs, CFR, Rockefellers, and so forth would just say, "Well shit Ron! Looks like you got the best of us! Go ahead and take all our power away!"

The thing is, if he runs Indy, he must give up his seat in Congress, and what are the chance of an Indy actually winning? If he cannot win as a Republican, there is a very good chance he will do even worse Indy, and it would come at the cost of his congressional seat.

Because of him, tons of other people with his views are running for offices, and with our help will hopefully win them. He has gotten the ball rolling on this revolution, but he must defend a position somewhere rather than risk it all. He is continuing the fight, but making us aware of the reality here.

He also basically said that no matter what happens with this election -- HE IS NOT ABANDONING US. HE IS STILL GOING TO SPEARHEAD THIS REVOLUTION AND LEAD US TO VICTORY, EVEN IF IT IS ONE OF HIS PROTEGE'S THAT WE ULTIMATELY PUT IN THE OVAL OFFICE IN 2012.

The fact is, he's not abandoning us regardless of what happens, and he's not giving up. Are we giving up and abandoning him? I sure the hell am not!

there is still a slight chance at a brokered convention, but ONLY IF get as many people as POSSIBLE to show up at the caucuses and conventions EVEN IF THEY ARE VOTING FOR HUCKABEE... if someone says they hate john mccain, your response should be "i know me too and the only way to stop him is for you to come to the caucus with me"

imagine how many people we could get to go there if every one of us brought 5 people?

the GOP would freak out...

then no matter who we end up voting for at the county or state level, once we get to the national convention in ST PAUL... (which RON WILL BE THERE, SPEAKING TO EVERYONE UNCENSORED) delegates can vote for whoever we want....

super delegates might be deciding the democratic nomination, but if we all do this the right way they will NOT decide our GOP nomination

we need to stress the importance of preserving the GOP, we need to let people know that its not about issues so much as it is saving the party, ANY REAL REPUBLICAN will relate to this and agree with you

In light of Dr. Paul’s message of this evening I would like to offer up an additional powerful approach to victory that we all can participate in quickly and easily. Collectively we are an incredible group focused on Ron Paul’s message of liberty and freedom to help him win the election. We are a determined bunch, much more so than the competition.

On a physical level we have showed enormous strength and perseverance and that needs to continue. In addition, we need to increase this energy on the mental and emotional levels. My suggestion is for each and every one of us to take a couple of minutes of quiet time in the morning and in the evening for some mental and emotional work. I know many of you are praying for Ron Paul and his campaign, many are doing visualizations, etc. and all of that is very good. I feel the key to success is POSITIVE EMOTION IN NUMBERS. I propose a few minutes of picturing in your mind Ron Paul at a podium giving his acceptance speech for President of the United States. You need to not only picture it, but also FEEL the joy of it in the deepest center of your being. Get really excited about it and KNOW that it is true. This simple little exercise performed by tens of thousands of people, two times a day will be extraordinarily powerful. The Universe will set things in motion. Miracles can happen. We don’t need to know how it will come about. Sit back and watch it happen. KNOW that it will happen.

On another note it’s best to not dwell on all the negativity. The more we think about and discuss the injustice of the MSM, the rigged voting and the general dismissal of Dr. Paul as a viable candidate, the more of that we will manifest. Let’s focus on the end result of having President Paul in the White House. Remember Mother Teresa and her refusal to attend Anti-war rallies? She felt the focus was still on war and such rallies would manifest more of the same. She was happy to attend Peace rallies. So focus on the good, not the bad.

Please try to do this. I know it’s a bit esoteric, but I think we need to use all tools at our disposal.

I've been sitting hear reading all of these posts. I feel for each one of you who is let down, I really do. I had that moment after Iowa and even worse after New Hampshire, those were my let downs.

What makes this so hard for all of us, is that this campaign was the first 'shot fired'. This is about making sure everyone of us that is freedom conscious and aware, band together now, form a perimiter around these charished virtues, our founders wrote down in our constitution.

It does not end here.

These are desperate times we live in people, we know this, that is also what made us work so hard in the beginning. We were never guaranteed victory, yet we fought onward, harder, smarter, and with the ingenuity known only to the American spirit.

At this time, we are now ONE, marching one by one, forward and onward...Liberty and freedom will be won. I will never ever leave your side in this fight.

.. and if all those Paul people in Kansas (where Paul raised more in donations than any other candidate Dem or Rep) get out there and caucus and win a state for him then things could get very interesting very quick. If he wins a state then a money bomb will go off instantly. However, if he keeps bumping along collecting 2nds and 3rds and McCain continues winning then it's all done for Paul in 08 long before the convention.

I'll still vote for Paul in November even if I have to write him in - I can't vote for McCain no matter what party he's in or who is running against him.

Donate to the EFF and other similar organizations with the same vigor as the money-bombs for Dr. Paul's campaign. Call your state's representatives and fight the Real-ID. There is stuff that can be done to prevent martial law and destruction of civil liberties. Ron Paul isn't the only one out there who is fighting the destruction of civil liberty.

I wholeheartedly agree. RP had to make this announcement right now- remember, he is the head of the campaign, and people have been looking for an official statement.
