Okay I'm sure most of you have read Ron's letter.

He said that the chance of a brokered convention is nearly zero. I knew Romney ruined it for us!!

And he is now officially saying that he WILL NOT RUN THIRD PARTY. He didn't say that he wasn't planning on it, he said that he will not do it.

I'm kind of taking this as admitting that he will not be the next president. I disagree with everybody when they say "it's the message, not Ron Paul" Well the message is useless unless we have a president who will put into use this message.

Is anybody else feeling helpless and hopeless now? Why should we continue trying to win this when there will be no brokered convention and he will not run third party? Seems as if the campaign is done. He shouldn't have made these announcements, I have a feeling fundraising is going to plummet because of this

I am cautiously optimistic. We could get a huge boost in numbers in the next primary/caucus. Hopefully at that point we will garner some media attention.

That is exactly how I took it too... :( I was thinking that Romney dropping out enhanced our chances more. Shows how much I know...

I'm optimistic about a Ron Paul Republican (probably not Ron Paul himself) having a chance in 2012.

Life goes on I guess, pick up the pieces, and lets try to get Dr. Paul his congressional seat back.

It's funny that people will have faith in the unseen when it is despair. Don't believe in defeat until the defeat has actually happened.

As Rocky said, "I didn't hear no bell."

I was thoroughly disappointed by his latest message. Admitting defeat, or well - hinting - is lame, seriously lame. If there was ever ANY time that he could break into the media it was now... he needed to be making very strong statements that take advantage of the media biases.

I should have been running that campaign, I could have done a better job. It was naive to think we could break into the media without manipulating their biases, as EVERY OTHER MAINSTREAM CANDIDATE DOES.

I'm pretty drunk so I won't go on too long here. All possibilities are now done for with this latest message, IF he follows through with what he said. I don't understand this at all. I feel let down.

Helpless, hopeless, outraged, betrayed, disappointed.

I started to write threads and replies, but think I should wait a day and think it all through.
Although I hope to vote for a 3rd party candidate with Pauls - former Republican values and can not see myself ever supporting McCain, the thought of a Barak Obama or Hillary Clinton Presidency is quite disturbing. On the other hand I will not vote for the lesser of two evils, since you really just voting for evil. This is a circular argument for me right now but McAsshole is still more Conservative than the other two clowns.

This isn't about Ron Paul. Will you ever vote again in your life for someone unlike Ron Paul? Pledge not to. Pledge to support any candidates running locally or nationally that promote individual rights, free markets, and strict constitutionalism.

Help us fill up the Senate and House of Representatives with Ron Pauls! Help your state to fill out its legislature as well.

Call me a conspiracy nut but I think by the time 2012 comes we'll be living under martial law, that's why Ron Paul gave me hope. Now it's time to prepare to go to South America I think. I would fight but I have a daughter and I don't want to put her in danger. So until an armed revolution succeeds her, I'll be leaving

A third party candidate has a real shot this election.

Umm ... you obviously haven't been paying attention to all the energy cumulating around Obama. At the very least McCain has no fucking chance, and we'll be a LITTLE bit more logical about Foreign Policy, but NO WHERE NEAR what will be best for PEACE and fucking pulling this country out of the recession that i'm about to be spat out into after graduation, SHIT.

:(. I should probably leave the forum... cuz i'm just going to be negative, and that's not what RonPaulForums.com was about, not being negative.

Bid you guys farewell, i'm gone unless Paul changes his fucking tune.

Same here. In fact I still wonder if there will be an election even this year. Anything could happen. Pakistan overrun by extremists who nuke India, dollar crashes completely, nuke war with Iran... I can see scenarios that could happen rather quickly to cause a state of global emergency/lock down. Fuckin sheople let this happen. I woke up at 18 (and now am 48). Goddamn it wasn't that hard to wake up and see the truth (well it was hard in other ways, but you know what I mean). Why are so many people so fucking stupid? They love their chains that much is for sure.

Like the old saying "It ain't over till the fat lady sings" She inst scheduled to sing till November! WE WILL WRITE HIM IN!!!! Stop listening to the media. There is a giant coming down Mc Caine's back. No one wants him! Faith is when its the darkest, and you see as spark off in the distance, give it time, and that spark turns into Sun Light! Don't give up the ship, don't do it.

You must hold on till November..........

I'm not listening to the media, I'm listening to Ron Paul's letter he wrote his supporters.

Super Tuesday and the day following were the hardest days for me. The reality is he may not win. But the reality is also that he HAS made tremendous progress and so much has been achieved.

I'm still waiting to see what I can do next. And I will ALWAYS continue to spread his message. And at least now I know what to look for when I decide to vote for the next congressman, president, etc..

And at least now I know I would NEVER waste my vote on any of those lying sack of shit establishment puppets EVER again in my lifetime.

If I have to I will write in Ron Paul this November, just as the libertarian voters did on Super Tuesday. And I'll probably be voting Libertarian or writing in from now on, well at least until the Republican party has been freed from the neocon dogs.

It does suck though. But don't feel betrayed. You have to realize there is a huge diversity of Ron Paul supporters here. Most of us have worked very hard to promote Ron Paul and his message. Obviously since there is such a big diversity, people from different backgrounds, with different experiences, etc., there will be a lot of disagreement on strategy, philosophies, etc.

But we ALL believe in the fundamental message of liberty, freedom, peace, and prosperity that Ron teaches.

Plus change is so so so hard. We have accomplished so much.

It is ok to feel sad, mad, depressed, etc.. But do not despair for too long, and don't ever feel like you have been betrayed.

There is only one way to go and that is in Ron Paul's words, "onward and upward!"

I urge everyone to write him in if he does not win the Repub nomination. Remember, NEVER to vote for the lesser of 2 evils. Make that every single vote COUNT!
