During Gary Johnson's governorship, New Mexico was one of the last two or three remaining states that hadn't legally banned cockfighting (it has since been banned in NM under then-Governor Bill Richardson.) It was no-doubt an issue that repeatedly came up in the state legislature multiple times throughout Johnson's time as Governor.

And yet, despite that, it's hard to find anything anywhere about Gary Johnson's views on cockfighting. Does anyone know if Johnson was for it being legal or did he want it banned? Or did Johnson go into hiding and refuse to take a public stance on the issue?
