Hey, wow, Huck wants to end Birthright Citizenship!

nothing is funny about the potential of the real clinton #2...mike huckabee

Oh Jesus, Fox news just said the same about Huckabee -

"Radical concept, no other candidate backing it!"

What a world.

This is also like the MSM saying how John McCain is the oldest candidate running...I can't believe the days I'm in...1984!!!!! YAY!

Hucklebillys have to steal a platform because they can't stand long on the one they have.....oh woe is me, Fox says its true......like they have a leg left to stand on.......the whole thing is really very telling and very comical. Thanks for the entertainment......I needed a good laugh about now.

Ahem. Does anyone recall Huckabee in the Republican Youtube debate? He was challenged by (I think) Romney about having provided children of illegals with tuition breaks while governor of Arkansas. He gave a somewhat-impassioned defense of his actions, saying that these children of illegals shouldn't be "punished for their parent's mistakes."

So, which is it, Mike? Do we subsidize the children of illegals with tax dollars, or do we remove their birthright citizenship?

I'd be interested in seeing Slickabee reconcile these two ideas.

This kind of thing absolutely infuriates me -- the other candidates stealing Ron Paul's ideas over and over and the old media reporting that it is a unique idea with no other candidate taking that position. . . . . .

Seems to me that the Neocons and Old Media have been brainwashed -- "Do not mention Ron Paul, he does not exist.... Ron Paul does not exist.... Ron Paul does not exist...."

Is Huckabee going to wow everyone next and say that we should pull all of the troops from foreign countries and have competing currencies?

What a tool. I doubt this is just coincidence, they're sacrificing Huckabee to steal Ron Paul votes.

I doubt Huckabee even understands Ron Paul's position about why he wants to end birthright citizenship.

It's not just because of the anchor babies, it actually comes from a historical motive that I'd explain here but I don't want the Hucktards to go back and explain to Huckabee why he supports his position.

I emailed the guy who wrote the article and corrected him. Be sure you al do it also.
[email protected]
Be sure to tell them that Huckabee stole that idea from Ron Paul and that Dr. Paul has introduced bills to change the birthright citizenship laws.

This guy is leading the national polls 25% to 20% over GouL??? Is this a fucking joke? This media really can make somebody can't they...

America is a bunch of followers - that much is for certain... Obama takes iowa, a state that has about the population of the CITY I LIVE IN and now the whole race is over. Huck takes Iowa and now HE'S THE GOP FRONTRUNNIER?? Are ya kidding me MSM?

One can only hope that he is simply taking votes away from the other neo-cons.. but we are certainly walking a tight rope right now in NH and need that MSM bounce big time.

I emailed him. I also linked to an article on lewrockwell.com that Ron Paul wrote about the subject.

The washington times should be contacted and demand retraction and the campaign should do it as well with a press release: Here is the bill

1st Session

H. J. RES. 46
Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to deny United States citizenship to individuals born in the United States to parents who are neither United States citizens nor persons who owe permanent allegiance to the United States.

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

June 13, 2007
Mr. PAUL (for himself, Mr. GOODE, Mr. DEAL of Georgia, and Mr. AKIN) introduced the following joint resolution; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

JOINT RESOLUTION
Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to deny United States citizenship to individuals born in the United States to parents who are neither United States citizens nor persons who owe permanent allegiance to the United States.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the following article is proposed as an amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which shall be valid to all intents and purposes as part of the Constitution when ratified by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years after the date of its submission for ratification:

`Article --

`Section 1. Any person born after the date of the ratification of this article to a mother and father, neither of whom is a citizen of the United States nor a person who owes permanent allegiance to the United States, shall not be a citizen of the United States or of any State solely by reason of birth in the United States.

`Section 2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.'.

I found this article on my own and was going to post it here, but I guess someone beat me to it. I am going to email the writer. I generally don't do stuff like this, but I was fuming when I read it. Is it really too much to ask that people who claim to be journalists actually make sure that what they are stating is fact? Would it have been so difficult to actually check all the candidates platforms before making false claims? Apparently no one has a reputation to uphold anymore.... anything goes these days.

Washington Times is now owned by Rupert Murdoch.

Don't hold your breath on any retractions. It's all out war as far as he's concerned.

I'm really getting tired of this plagiarizing asshole. It would be one thing if he actually changed his mind. I hope New Hampshire is the beginning of his downfall.

I'm getting tired of him slowly stealing the platform as well.

However there is something great that this does for us. Regardless of Ron's tv coverage we all know that Hucklbilly has about a million times more. Every time one of the other guys steals a platform Ron Has Had for years it actually helps us by getting the message out and it makes Ron sound less radical to the sheeple. Sooner or later it will get out who had the ideas first and that will just make Ron look better. Plus we can see how well the idea goes out there when the public hears it. If there is a huge public outcry for Huckabee's head over it then all Ron has to do is not talk about that position as much in the press. This is a good thing.

Ideas are only stolen if they're valuable.

Yes, if only Huckabee actually had a change of heart and meant it. Unfortunately I don't think it will be coming out any time soon that Ron Paul actually said and meant all of this long before Huckabee did.
