Hey! Ron Paul Plans His Own Convention...

"You know he's going to get his 15 minutes on national news."

I'd be hoping for much more than that. This is Dr. Paul planting the seeds of the peaceful revolution and since the media has marginalized him to date, it is more than time for him to be able to "farm" and go to market. What will increase those 15 minutes....huge numbers, huge applause....practice fainting in the aisles :)

Maybe we can find a pregnant gal and induce labor and have the Doctor delivery the baby on stage! :D

You know... this could prove very interesting indeed.

For some reason, I am picturing a huge parade with fife and drums, revolution garb, and the like. For me, RP represents the pure spirit of 1776. He truly is a modern day fore-father that woke up our nation. Perhaps it would be fitting to make this event equal to, if not greater than what transpired in November or December of 2007. Maybe not in terms of monetary donations, but in terms of everything he represents.

I'd love to see his campaign officially end the way it should. Something peaceful, yet memorable. Something we can all be proud to of been a part of.

Did someone get a screen shot of the Drudge headline for posterity?

I saw it, but now it's gone. :(

Oh! And another thing I am picturing... Bagpipes. Lots of them. Playing "Amazing Grace". It starts off with just one piper... then all the rest kick in. It could signify a number of things:

1) A tribute to all who have died for our country.
2) The death of our liberty.
3) The death of any hope we may have had to elect our best chance at freedom.
4) The official end of Ron Paul's campaign.

(Kind of something like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5P1M5qwBwo ) Man - how would that be??

Are we allowed to set off fireworks in a patriotic display??

Also, BAGPIPES RULE!! Good idea, Meekus!

I heard Dr. Paul has Scottish ancestry, too.

Can we march from here to the RNC !?

11,000 Ron Paul people marching towards McCain would be quite scary.
Though i'd fear getting too close to the police.

I can, but I don't know if everyone can. They're some fourteen miles apart.

You know, a lot of republicans aren't happy with McCain being the nominee -- even some people who supported him to begin with. This could be the start of something interesting... I think it would be good to have a very strong showing.
