Hey! Ron Paul Plans His Own Convention...

Are the shenanigans in Louisiana--you remember Louisiana, where they combined three other candidates as the "pro family pro life coalition ticket" and redistributed most of these votes to McCain, right?--enough for us to have a good reason to do a rump convention as an alternative to the national convention? Or should we just party hearty?

I don't believe it...CNN actually put something on their website regarding this convention:

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.co...-rally-during-republican-convention/#comments

The MSM is now covering the revolution? Interesting...

Yeah well there is only three candidates left from the two major parties You know?.

They don't have much else to report. Mccain just mumbles and looks stiff as a robot. Obama is played out im sure the media is sick and tired of hearing the Fire ready to go story by now. The battle between those two is awkward and boring.

They want something diffrent to happen. They want Ron Paul supporters to give them a show/

That's a point. We've walked on fire and walked on glass to get Dr. Paul's name out there in spite of the blackout during the primary season, and now that it's over and "Paul is no threat" in their minds they probably would like for us to provide them some election content of interest. This may be prime time for us to educate people.

If the economy continues to crash they may suddenly decide our ideas are dangerous again, so we should make hay while the sun shines, as they say...

...and that they'll be more intelligent and more informative than CNN's own professionally generated tripe.

Especially Slime Ball Ed Rollins,,, Huckabee's Campaign manager... keep an eye on that PANDER Plagiaristic Marketing Hack. I'm sure hell playdown Ron, though he likes to steal all of Ron's stances.

In reality the bad part is... this should be a full 3 day convention, not the one day Ron has the Arena. This way, have an event of speakers and guests. THE REVOLUTION, LIBERTY, TRUE FREEDOM, etc. Plus SUCK away the energy and limelight from the NEOCON CONVENTION across town.

(We actually show/make signs: <==Freedom, Liberty, & Happiness Convention / NEOCONS, Corporate Whores, Panderers, & Treasonists Convention===> ( a couple big signs just out the airport would be AWESOME! (plus RON PAUL signs, of course)

I would love to see Christopher Walken do the Cow Bell skit to get the crowd in a funny mood, prior to introducing Ron Paul. Ron makes his way to the stage through the crowd like a prize fighter headed to the ring. preceded by the Revolutionary Colonial Color Guard, with the drums a ratt tatt tatting!

This can be a very successful conference, IF, and a BIG IF... Ron Paul's Campaign Staff get true professional help to market and sell this puppy to the people, media, and world. Ron Paul doesn't need his "amateurs staffer's OJT, learning as they go"... ONE SHOT at sending a powerful message with the eyes & ears of the country upon him and the convention!

MARKET THIS CONVENTION SMARTLY and EFFECTIVELY!

Excited to go, educate those around you by reading the manifesto with them or giving them your copy. There is more then enough time to get more people wanting to go to this so get out to your friends and family and get them involved.

Anyone who reads the manifesto won't be able to dismiss it and that might end up being another able body in st paul

We should try to get an awesome line up of speakers.

David Walker

Michael Schuer

Jesse Ventura maybe?

Are y'all still trying to get The Revolution into the hands of your state's national convention delegates?

They need time to READ it, too, don't forget.

I suggest figuring out where you will stay, if you plan on spending the night there, I was just looking at hotels for that week (of the convention) and, well they are all booked at least the ones I've come across.

Thankfully I have family there and can stay with them :)

Unless he's going to use this convention to announce a new political party, he's probably just better off going to the GOP convention and giving a speech (and we're better off giving money to our Congressional candidates).
