Help Ron Paul win the Values Voter Summit Straw Poll!

first Ames, then 1st in the N.H straw poll today, and now the V V summit poll!
we must Drudge these wins when Dr. Ron Paul wins this one or is top three!!!

The VVS is a big deal. A lot of conservatives who are disappointed with CPAC see VVS as having taken over as the premier conservative summit. A lot of those think that RP's successes at CPAC are proof of its irrelevance. So it would be that much sweeter for him to take VVS too.

I think it is important that only Christians attend this event, it is a Christian event to talk about questions of morality. If you want to support Dr. Paul in this, but feel like you are too socially liberal, or are not a Christian I suggest you focus on the fundraising efforts.

It is easy for people to discount us (AS THEY SHOULD) when we show up looking like unprofessional vagabonds. Please, Please, PLEASE dress nicely, respect other people and candidates, but win. If you aren't wearing a tie, you aren't trying to help Dr. Paul.

I would say, not necessarily only Christians, but definitely only people who feel like they can fit into that crowd. If you see the religious right as a political enemy of yours, this is not the event for you.

Does anyone know, are there any residency restrictions on voting in the straw poll (like @ Ames), and what day/time is the actual straw poll voting?

No. This is a nationwide convention, more like CPAC than Ames. You have to buy a ticket to go. I wouldn't be surprised if the campaign will sell them at a discount. But that's not something I would count on without hearing from them for sure.

Thanks. I will try and rally a group from NJ (via our meetups) to go. I wish the schedule said when Dr Paul would be slated to speak and when the straw poll voting would be. Right now I would guess Saturday.

Values Voter Summit (and Straw Poll) 10/8

Why haven't we heard more about this conference and straw poll? The campaign subsidized tickets for the RLC which is 1/4th the size group of attendees and yet nothing has been organized by the official campaign for this event. This straw poll gets a lot of voters (almost 6,000 in 2007) which besides Ames, is one of the biggest straw polls.

According the the VVS website tickets are $99 and on sale until 9/20/2011. I am very surprised that we are in the eleventh hour and no organization seems to exist from the RP2012 campaign folks; no discounted tickets, no buses, nothing that I can find.

We can't afford to not do well in the straw polls; we need every boost possible this early.

Time is running out for the Values Voter Summit.

Does anyone out there have info from the official campaign on this event that I may have missed? (I will post a thread on grassroots organization for this event on the New Jersey state specific page, for those in the area and interested.)

If you are local to southern NJ check out the state specific page on this forum for NJ or PM me if you want to join us for this event.

I'm hoping the campaign will provide some discounted tickets, I'll be on vacation in DC at that time.

I'm hoping they will as well; I'm from Delaware, and I don't really have much money for this event, but I really want to go and will try to save up something.

We need to keep this topic hot right now. The debate from 9/7 wasn't the best, but Dr Paul seemed to do very well last night (9/12). With a moneybomb coming up and another for the RevPAC and another debate and P-5 strawpoll at the end of September we also need to build momentum to last. Anyone within driving distance should attend this Values Voter Summit event and vote for Ron Paul in the straw poll on 10/8.

i agree with shemdogg.
