Michigan GOP leader wants Paul barred from future debates
KTEN Local News
Associated Press - May 16, 2007 7:45 PM ET
The chairman of the Michigan Republican Party said today he will try to bar presidential candidate Ron Paul from future GOP debates.
The Texas congressman made remarks that suggested the September 11th attacks were the fault of US foreign policy at a GOP debate last night. Paul drew attacks from all sides, most forcefully from former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, when Paul linked the terror attacks to US bombings.
Michigan party chairman Saul Anuzis says he will circulate a petition among Republican National Committee members to ban Paul from more debates.
At the debate, Paul said "Have you ever read about the reasons they attacked us? They attack us because we've been over there. We've been bombing Iraq for 10 years."
Anuzis called the comments "off the wall and out of whack."

Being a middle age, online person (not like a lot of you cool 'kids' - and, by the by, I consider anyone still in their twenties a kid
), I'm afraid I haven't kept up with all the "cool" online stuff. I'm not certain how the DIGG stuff really works, but it's a fantastic concept.
