I thought the plan was for all four guys to stay in for a brokered convention. Is this still possible or does McCain have it in the bag now? When I heard Romney dropped, I got pretty scared
Well, many considering Romney supporters now = Paul supporters, and I don't think hardly any of them will be going to McCain, this could keep McCain just as low in delegate count as if Romney were still running...
and work to our advantage.
Ron Paul should just outright say
"If McCain is the nominee, I will run 3rd party".
Call their bluff.
And then Ross Perot, who hates McCain, runs billions of dollars of ads on our behalf, just to spite McCain.
...
The Christian right are a pretty well informed bunch of folks, they know Huckster is a sham big government con-man.
I'm just worried because McCain has more than half the delegates he needs for the nomination and with one less guy out of the picture and the media painting him as the presumptious candidate...
HAHAHAHAHHAHA! Thanks for the laugh!
My entire family is Christian. About 3/4 of them are Born Again Evangelicals and live in the South. Trust me when I tell you that they DO NOT UNDERSTAND THAT HUCKABEE IS A CON-MAN!
In fact it's the exact opposite. Most of the Evangelicals I have talked to are convinced that Huck is "Gods Chosen Candidate". Any and all evidence that I have put in front of them they TOTALLY IGNORE! They do not care about his voting record, they do not care about his flip-flopping, they do not care about anything else because Huck has convinced them that God is on his side. The only way we will gain most of those people is if Huck drops out and explicitly tells them to support Dr Paul. Otherwise they will all support WHOEVER he tells them to and they will do so blindly and without any conscience thought. Just like they support W.
I don't want to paint a bleak picture or lump in ALL evangelicals but pretty much everyone I've ever talked to falls into line behind Huck. The fact that Huck won all those Southern states is all the proof you need to realize I know what I am talking about. The only other way we can gain their support is if enough Evangelical churches start to endorse Dr Paul. I'm convinced they won't do this until Huck drops out.
