Has Fancy Farm date been set?

We need a large contingent there.
First Saturday in August. So it'll be August 7. It'll be key to winning far-western KY, so we need some kind of a showing to make Rand look good, Jack look liberal/unpopular. Typically, the event involves demonstrations, chants, rallies before and after, so it's important to be prepared.

BTW, this is Mitch McConnell's Fancy Farm speech in 2008. Shows what kind of crowd you can be dealing with. Usually the lieberals truck in a bunch of people from Louisville. For the unaware, there will be virtually no undecided voters in this audience, only fierce partisans. Good barbecue though.

This is the place where Connman said he was one tough son of a bitch. They also cut the mic off on Rand last year too! ha ha ha ha

Right. And I might just point out, that was 2009, where there was no elections in KY. Essentially no one was focusing on politics. If we can make him nervous, who knows what gaffe we can force him into making. That 2008 clip is closer to the environment one could expect than Rand's reaction in 2009. Rand did a good job at FF, but when the Louisville limousine lieberals show up en masse this year with their KDP sludge machine, I'm worried that we may get swamped in far-west KY.

As was stated, VERY large. And no effort should be spared in making it happen. It simply can't be seen that support has waned or momentum has shifted. I won't say that "perception" is everything here, but it's pretty damn close.

Since they are pretending there is a race issue, they will likely bring in protesters, unless they figure that tack backfired.

thanks Matt, that was good. He has a good answer about his Dad, who introduced the first term limit bill in modern memory and has voted for every term limit bill introduced since, however, I guess he didn't want to get off onto someone else's track.
