Harvard Study Group would like to speak to me about my Ron Paul contributions?

They are not collecting any data, they did not include an information letter detailing the exact nature of their study, and they did not off you any details about the pros or cons or method of participating. If this is a real research study, they are violating all sorts of human subjects research protocols.

To spend the money to send out a letter to people and not try and collect any data...is very strange.

Just looked at their site. They put all the info about their Human Subjects research on there, but they should have included an information letter in the mailing as well. Bad bad bad

LOL, from the Capitalist and Rationalist and Behaviorist and Imperialist perspectives, it is INDEED worth studying the phenomenon of Austrian Economists, Anarchists, Individualists and Voluntarists of ordinary-or-fewer means sustainedly throwing hard cash at tilting at windmills.

As I type, Masterminds are salivating over the possibilities for harnessing Discretionary Income to Passion. Oh, wait...that's right. Madison Avenue has been doing that since Madison Avenue became known for being Madison Avenue.

MAD MEN.

Hell's Angels? Bad, really bad. Harley Davidson? Big, really big. Whaddya MEAN Hell's Angels became Harley Davidson?

NIET! That does NOT extrapolate to Pot Growers LIKEWISE transforming into Executives in their field. I mean, you DO see how one is wildly more dangerous/detrimental than the other, RIGHT?

I'm not going to the website. No telling what tricks they're up to. What is the "Human Subjects research"?
Is there a survey or something?

HUMAN SUBJECTS RESEARCH is important for all KINDSA stuff. To name but a few:

What they can be persuaded to "need".

What they can be persuaded to like.

What they can be persuaded to be UNABLE TO LIVE WITHOUT.

How much they'll "take" before voicing complaint.

Two-ply or three-ply? Paper or plastic? Large or Supersize? Believer or Non? Toast or bagel? Libertarian or Freedom Fighter?

DIVIDE & CONQUER. Human Subjects Research is to Divide & Conquer as LIGHTER FLUID IS TO FIRE.

They'll look for ways to AMUSE &/or AMAZE y'all. Check the view/post count on the "official" Trayvon Martin thread to realize how extremely DOABLE this is.

Just think, someone may even get an offer s/he can't refuse.

Why should you speak to them? If they can already view everyone's campaign contributions then why give them any more info.

Basically...fuck em

I've found the FEC site handy for figuring out military/DoD donations. For example, at my ZIP, as of the end of March, donations have only been made to Ron Paul (over $14,000) and Barack Obama (less than $5000). All the donations to the current president were made by school teachers.
If I wanted to contact Ron Paul supporters for a meet-up or something, or for becoming delegates, maybe, the FEC site could be useful.
But I could also see tptb using this to identify would-be delegates to ostracize them, deny them participation in the process.

I got the same thing. Two things that caught my eye though. I had the largest amount of donations of the 10 random people in my area. And second, the other nine donated to the democrats.

I'm not showing up on the FEC site but I did just make my 10th donation. All under $200.

Drew Carey donated $2,300 in 2007 but nothing for this campaign. I couldn't find any donations under Vince Vaughn.

Anybody know anyone who got this letter who did NOT donate to Ron Paul?

That's a very good question. They list neighbors who have made contributions to Democrats. Did those listed also get the letter?

Something is really fishy with this in that it asks for no information, therefore it's useless for the purposes claimed.

The FEC records what the campaigns file on a monthly basis. if you just donated, it won't show upfor a while.
Also, I'd imagine some of Dr. Paul's supporters with more means may be channeling funds into the super PACs, which wouldn't show up on the campaign tally sheet.

Any celebrity supporters most likely donated (if at all) to the PAC.

I think the minimum donation total to show up on these things is 200.00

I think you are right. My letter had a gal with a $100 donation,in the letter notsure showed in post #26,half were below $200.
Anyone else showing donations less than $200 in their letters?
If so,where did they get that info or are they just making it up?
