Gun Owners/Righters - I have a question...

I have been doing research on the misuse of the words "assault rifle" and am concerned with the government's
continuous piddling away of our rights.

I am curious. These AR-15s that the media is villifying shoot one bullet per trigger pull, correct?

So then what is the general concensus on the Slide Fire or Bump stock enhancements? Those allow
the gun to go from semi to the closest possible to military automatic and is considered legal in some
places by the ATF.

My question is this...while Barry is throwing around threats of executive order, would gun owners/righters
feel that these "enhancements" should be legal and remain so under the second amendment?

Do we just want the turkey or do we also want all the sides?

Enlighten me, please but go easy - I am a newby.

The Federal government has no authority to legislate regarding weapons at all. None. They have no authority to restrict fully-automatic weapons. They not only have no such authority, they are expressly DENIED the authority.

The media and anti-gun crowed don't know the difference between assault rifle and semi-auto—nor do they understand the difference between a mag and a clip. Furthermore, they lack statistical understanding. If they don't understand what they are fighting, how can anyone give them credibility?

The stock does not change the mechanical operation of the weapon - it essentially pulls the trigger repeatedly, as soon as the weapon is capable of firing, whereas the definition of machine gun in the federal code is two or more rounds fired with one pull of the trigger.

It may be ignorance. If so, its willful ignorance. Those trumpeting "reasonable gun restriction measures" just don't care. It is impossible for "reasonable" to be compatible with the fact that the 2nd deals with weapons of war.
