Grassroots TV ads for Iowa - It's on

Yes, assuming because they don't think they're as effective as real boots on the ground work instead. Which is absolutely accurate to a point. Well done TV ads will only compliment a lacking void many think is necessary for a broader reach.

Besides, they don't want out of state boots on the ground, and you know what they say about the Devil and idle hands...

This will keep us out of mischief.....:p

Come on, Napoleon, look at Adam's group's track record. He has For Liberty to mine if he wants to, for material...

Okay I've contacted Fox, ABC, CBS, and NBC in Ames and Des Moines. Will be getting quotes in the next day or two. Couldn't find CNN in those areas but noticed that KCCI had a "partnership" with CNN on their site- whatever that means. It was also brought to my attention that we should try to avoid 15s since inventory is small, but we're going for the big banana anyway.

Should have some info soon on how much we need for this.

Chris, you are awesome! Thank you so much!
Most popular commute time radio stations for Iowa? RFD stations? Polka? ;)

If there's some way you can work in some of the crowd footage watching Ron at the Rally, the various rallies, the march.... I think those crowds go a fair ways to subconsciously dispel the 'fringe' idea.

If need be yes, I shot that all in 720p.

First price sheets are in:

Hi Deborah, It was good talking with you this afternoon. Attached please find the third quarter planning rates you requested for your undisclosed client leading up to the Iowa Straw Poll on August 13, 2011. As I indicated, 60-second rates are double the 30’s. !5-second rates are 65% of the 30-second rate, rounded up to the nearest $5.00. However, 15-second inventory is very limited. When you are ready to place your buy please give me a call so that I can provide you with our current selling rates. Let me know if you have any questions or need any additional information. I look forward to working with you. Thanks and have a great evening Anne Marie

In the ad, we need to figure out how to convey both trust and principles. We need to appeal to people's emotions, their sense of security. We need to create an ad that injects the viewer with uncertainty about the economy, jobs, gas and food prices and in the same ad introduce Ron Paul and make them feel safe again. The ad would introduce an uneasiness and then wipe it out by tying a feeling of certainty to Ron Paul.

Perfect.

Besides, they don't want out of state boots on the ground, and you know what they say about the Devil and idle hands...

tis true. lol

This was great for '07, but I seriously would not go there again. This is a Republican primary we are trying to win. We don't have to rehash all the WMDs, bin Laden, etc. Being broke is plenty reason enough to get out of the wars. In other words, it's time for our government to put America and Americans first.

I don't think that was his intention. I think he was just sharing a video he did last time.

Those are all really expensive unless we could raise a considerable amount $100k+. I would look to cable rates next, come back to these later?

This ad seems exactly like what you are trying to accomplish..

This ad is amazing -- why have I never seen this before -- this should be running non-stop in Iowa right now. (updated for 2012 with nice HD footage of course)

Boots on the ground help locate your supporters and get them to the polls. TV ads create new supporters. We need both.

Face the Nation: no, people who watch this already are set in their beliefs
Morning news: no, people don't pay attention, it's just on in the background
Oprah: good, Ron Paul needs to attract more support from women
CBS evening news: good, lots of older people (i.e. voters) watch
Chris Mathews: no, unless you're trying to get liberals to cross over, which wouldn't match the ad idea
David Letterman: good, independent thinkers watch Letterman
60 Minutes: good, lots of older people watch
