Grassroots Push for Ron on The Ellen DeGeneres Show

Ellen isn't a pundit, she's a comedian turned talk show host. I could see it being very similar to the Stewart interviews that actually get into some interesting dialogue. Compared to the usual attack dogs, it would be a vacation...

I just wrote the show an email. Wish I could post it here but the site won't let me copy the text.

Hope they pass her the message though.

Bad idea, Ellen is an open lesbian, we want to focus on winning the support of REPUBLICANS, this is not the general election where we are competing against Obama for all voters.

Of course it will hurt us, Ellen is much further to the left than Leno.

That's just silly. She has over 2 million viewers; you honestly can't think they're all liberals.

He's been on Jon Stewart and The View, which are both liberal dominated shows.

She is over 2 million viewers... does that make them all lesbian democrats?

Getting Ron this kind of exposure is huge. Any daytime or late night talk show is worth getting on.

He doesn't need to give Fox News any more ammunition that leads their audience into thinking he's really a secret liberal out to destroy the Republican party.

You are jumping the gun on this, we are not yet to the general election versus Obama when such a thing would be more appropriate and productive.

Move along.

She has a huge older audience with a lot of women. Paul needs all the help he can get with women.

There's a lot of conservative ladies who like Ellen. She is very likable apparently. Hitting up The View and Ellen would be fun and great exposure.

I'm not a fan of this idea. We had a good experience with Jay Leno beforehand and it was reasonable to say that he would've been treated respectfully...which is what happened. But this is a very awkward setting for Ron. I don't think grassroots is thinking it through on this one.

When John McCain went on her show (after he secured the nomination), she asked him about what his views on California's Proposition 8 were, if I remember correctly. It was back when the gay marriage in California debate was REALLY heated.

Proposition 8 was the amendment that banned gay marriage in California.

As long as she doesn't ask Ron Paul about any gay issues, I don't see the harm.

She'd like RP's stance on gay issues

Err...good luck with that one.

She would obviously ask Ron Paul about gay issues so you aren't going to be able to avoid that.
