Grassroots funding of Recount?

People are expressing concern about what happens if RP requests a recount but it turns up to show no significant difference. Well the solution to that is if we the Grassroots pay for that Recount. The question I have is, is this a viable/legal solution to our problem. I have no concern over our ability to raise 60k within a day but my question is with that money, would we legally be allowed to pay for a recount, because this would solve all of our problems.

Also as an aside would it be possible/logical to start a StateWatch fund in order to be prepared for future "problems" with voting so that we could enact a recount before the ballots can "disappear"?

Ron Paul still has to ask for the recount. He will not do this, because it will damage the campaign and he and a few others here know this very well.

AJ said hes going to get in touch with Lyman and discuss it. Stop bombarding the HQ, it aint gonna happen that way.

If we independently fund this thing, we get the same results, minus the blowback.

The call for the recount, under NH law, has to come from a candidate on the ballot and has to be paid for by official campaign funds as defined by the FEC.

yea, it would be amazing if we could talk someone else into demanding the recount, we could even pay for it, but i think the likelyhood of that is considerably low. still it would definitely be worth a shot.
