I just saw a really old movie yesterday. It had Harold Lloyd.
The Sin of Harold Diddlebock
It's a rags to riches type story that really appeals to me nowadays. Plus it shows just how dangerous it can be to trust your fellow man. Something we seem to take a little to seriously now. Then again now wasn't then.

At least check out the part where the bartender makes him his first drink. 25:16 is a pretty good place to start with a little lead in. Then again you would have just missed about 25:16 of a great movie.
